{Rosemary city}
it was an unlit and turbulent Night. There was thunder with shards of lightning.
Zara, was a woman on the taller side of the height scale.
She had beautiful middle length trimmed red hair. This rare feature was enherited through her great-grandfather.
She was quite reserved and had a sense of peace in her life.
she wore highrise black boots that reached to the thigh and a formal navy leather shirt with black tights.
her v-neck shirt from affar looked shiny yet up close had a thin but formal look to it.
She was twenty-seven and planned on becoming a writer since adolescence yet decided to be a journalist at twenty-two.
she was walking on the beaten and battered sidewalk of a dangerous part of town. So she alertedly carried her pepper spray.
she walked in a formal pattern even when not on shift. she was quite a sight for sore eyes. ♠︎
in the pitter-patter of the rain and the sped up pattern of her walking customarily she sensed another rhythm of footsteps. they were oddly close and felt sped up by 3.1 seconds faster every 5 seconds.
Zara was a genius and estimated about everything that she could physically.
she halted out of nowhere, which caused the figure behind her to jolt giving her 1.297 seconds to act.
she swiftly made a sprint towards the underground subway entrance and sat on the railing while sliding down with ease.
Although the figure was close behind Zara was focused on her plan to escape.
from there Zara scanned her subway pass and got through the gates and sighed.
{how much longer will I get harrased for?}Zara took comfort at a nearby bench and rested for a moment when a figure came closely behind and grabbed her shoulder.
Zara felt the stiff hand on her. It was cold and hard. Like a corpse. Zara tried to jerk forward to give her force to run yet he held her in place, firmly and without hesitation he spoke.
"if you move again, your done for"
his voice was grouchy and weary. it gave Zara the chills.
"what do you want!" Shouted Zara.the man was about to answer when a hand that glistened with shiny wax and black tripple-weave keavler( a black leather-like, and bullet proof material) grabbed the man in his lower neck and pulled,then pushed him into the wall nearby.
Zara squealed in fright
She now saw the man who had saved her.
before she could get a good description he smoothly yet violently positioned the man to the floor with an upper-cut 2.7 inches above his jaw.Now the suited man was on top of the pale-faced man. He grabbed his shirt and dragged him closer to him. he firmly said "listen close bastard... if I see you again in the city, you'll be as good as a walking corpse."
he then pushed the man to the floor and bashed him with his forearm which knocked the man out.
he then turned to me. I was undeniably scared. I couldn't even convince myself that I wasn't scared. He noticed my shaking and said "brave are you, red haired woman"
I could only see his mouth and some of his jaw. let alone he's dark blue eyes.
they were so dark that they apeared black in the shade.he noticed the I was observing him and he extended out his arm close to my shirts v-neck and fixed my necklace to face upright.
I shivered to his touch, I expected his hand to be cold and hard yet it was slightly soft and warm.
his eyes glistened in the dim light
as he turned around he looked at me one last time before walking away in a calm yet alert manner.
{"man was he a mystery"}
he had two small horns on his helmet
and a bat symbol on his chestthe symbol looked like it could be subtly removed.
he had a very detailed chest and stomach area covered in precise triple-weave keavler.
{was he the batman?}
Zara went home on the quickest routed subway. On the ride she sat in silence while being prudent of her surroundings.
she made it safely to her apartment building.
she had chosen it because of its plants and colorful scenery.
yet this time of year it seemed gloomy and non festive.
making her way up to the ninth floor and into her apartment Zara let out a sigh. She made herself dinner and ate with her radio on. Her cat submerged from the bedroom door and approached her to form a greeting.
"hi Willow"Zara exclaimed happily
the cat purred in delight while rubbing her head against Zaras warm hand.
Not long after Zara was in bed reading her favorite book [Death on the Nile]
she fell asleep with her cat laying right of her purring with slumber.
