As she made her way down the sidewalk, Jenny huddled together under her purple umbrella in the dew of the rain. Her yellow, knee length, cashmere cardigan, clinged to her black jeans, that was snug deep into her soft woolen black boots. She wondered why she wore her white crop top in this weather, as she started to feel the chills of the breeze against her bare skin, causing her to pull her black leather tote bag close to her chest, to try and add a barrier as she hurried along.
It wasn't a dull day, despite the rain. The streets were still busy with persons shuffling to and from, trying to get their 'To Do Lists' completed. Cars were still in transit up and down the street; people entered in and out of apartments, coffee, pastry and pet shops, all whilst doing regular every day stuff. Jenny was so focused on getting to the bookstore she was heading to, that she walked along hurriedly, head down, looking at her steps to avoid stepping into any puddles. The store closed at 4 PM, it was now 3:50 PM, she discovered as she quickly glanced at her wrist watch. " Just another block." she murmured under her breath as she walked along.
This was her ritual for the past couple of weeks. Every month, she chose a genre of books that she'll focus on for that month, and she tried her best to get a book read every week. Right now she was on finances, focusing on it's growth, freedom and sustainability. Since she'd finished with her last book, titled 'Rich Dad Poor Dad', it was time she got another.
