Jenny took her eyes off him. He was making her inner self do cartwheels but still questioning her life decisions. "He's so cocky!" She thought. "Like he just thinks he's gonna wink and smile at me a couple times and Ama give it up?!? Yea right!" She scuffed internally. "I mean yea of course he's gonna get a piece, but I'm just saying, he ain't weighing in on anything, his mind has been decided. Wonder how long now he's made his decision? Wonder if he's feeling the effects of the wine? Or was it the sight of me in the towel?" she contemplated as she stared intently at the rain that had begun to pour like cats and dogs outside. "What kind of music do you like?" Jay queried, breaking her thoughts, "Well, I loooovvvvvveee Jazz!" replied Jenny with utmost enthusiasm and emphasis. "Ooooo" said Jay, impressed, "my type of girl, you know the good stuff!" he gave her his sheepishly boyish smile, as he reached for his phone and started a smooth jazz playlist, connecting to the built in speakers, filling the apartment with it's delicious buttery melodies.

"Eh.....Sir, of course I know the good stuff!" Jenny defended looking at him directly. "Sure you do. Take me for example, you wouldn't be here if you knew I wasn't packing some good stuff myself" he smiled broadly. Jenny rolled her eyes and sighed with exasperation. "Would you like to dance?" Jay asked invitingly, "How can I with only a towel on?" debated Jenny, looking at him with a raised eyebrow, "Don't worry about that, that's the least of your concern" he responded, standing, placing his wine glass on the floor beside the sofa, and extending his hand to Jenny. "Is it now?" questioned Jenny. "Yes," said Jay, "so let's have a dance shall we." Jenny looked up at him as she tried to make and effort to stand, but she felt a bit giddy and let out a girlishly excited giggle. "Hahaha!" laughed Jay, "I think the wine is doing a number on you." "I agree" giggled Jenny as she grasped his outstretched hand, and was helped off the sofa.

He took her glass, placed it next to his, held her left hand in his right, and placed his left arm around her waist, whilst she placed her right hand on his forearm. They proceed to do a slow waltz around the room, having the sweet, soft, rhythmic beats engulf their every being, their bodies moving in unison, their souls seemingly entwined as one. After what seemed like forever, Jenny looked up and met Jay's beautifully lit brown eyes, contrasting against his black curly hair, highlighted from the light shining through the window. "Don't let this go to your head or anything, cause we both know you're cocky enough, but, you have beautiful eyes" she complimented, sincerely. Jay smilingly responded, "Why thank you. You yourself are rather stunning." Jenny held down her head as she felt as though all the blood in her body rush to the surface of her cheeks. "Thank the ancestors I'm a black Woman, or I'd be red all over!" she thought as she continued to blush.
