Chapter 7 - Under the Stars

Luke's POV

I'm so happy that we hangout after school.

I was having fun with Alex and Claire.

I never imagined that living in a simple life would be this fun.

Actually, I missed my old life. When I was a kid in kindergarden, when I was still a freshmen. I miss all of that memories. That's why I joined them in school because I want to feel the highschool life again.

... But my true life is different. Always in front of the camera, performing on stage, being chased by fans and paparazzi.

In short, I'm famous because I'm in a band called 5 Seconds of Summer.

Speaking of my band. Michael, Calum and Ashton are my true friends. They're always there for me. Actually they're like my older brothers because I'm the youngest in the band.

Fame and fans or just a simple life?

That question pops out in my head.

I don't really know. Maybe I will have them both?

But it's too impossible. How can you had a simple life if you're famous?

Damn it.

Alex is a fan of your band.

Again, that pops out in my head.

Yeah, that's right. She's a fan.

How do I know? It is because of the posters and stuff that I saw inside her cabinet.

She left the cabinet opened so I saw what's inside.

Actually, there's this banner says 'I LOVE YOU LUKE HEMMINGS'.

Maybe, she has a crush on me. I think so.

I find myself blushing in that moment.

What's wrong with me?

I was out of my deep thoughts when the lamp shade turn on.

"Can't sleep?" Alex

"Yeah, you too?" Me

"The same as you". Alex

She gets up and get her guitar.

"Come on", She pulls me from my bed.

"Where are we going?" I ask

"To the rooftop". She said

We climbed up to the stairs and go to the rooftop.

I was amaze when I saw the stars twinkling from the above.

"Look at the stars, they're smiling at you", Alex told me.

We sit and she handed me her guitar.

"Can you sing for me?" Alex requested.

Alex' POV

"Can you sing for me?" nagrequest ako kay Luke.

Gusto ko kasing marinig ng live yung boses niya.

"Umm...okay, what song?" tanong niya.

"Any song, it's your choice", sabi ko sa kaniya. Wala akong maisip ehh.

"Okay...how about 'Disconnected'? Tanong niya.

"If you want to". sagot ko, sabay ngiti.

Tapos yun, nagsimula na siyang tumugtog at kumanta.

Life's a tangled web

Of cellphone calls and hashtag-I-don't-knows

In all the blinking lights and dial tones

I admit I'm a bit of a victim in the worldwide system too

But I've found my sweet escape when I'm alone with you

I admit I'm a bit of fool for playing by the rules

Tapos yun, nakatingin lang ako sa kanya.

Ang ganda ng boses niya kapag live at acoustic lang.

"You're a fan, right?" nabuhayan ako sa tanong niya

"Umm....", anong sasabihin ko? At saka paano niya nalaman yun?

"Come on Alex, how did you know the song if you're not a fan?" sabi niya. "And besides I remember that you're the girl whi wants to take a selfie with me in the airport".

Huling-huli na ako ahh.

"... Y-yes, I'm a fan". Sabi ko

Ngumiti siya.

"I saw your posters of us in your cabinet", sabi niya.

Ehh pakialamero pala ito ehh.

.... Baka nakita niya din yung banner!

HALA!!!!

Baka alam din niya na may crush ako sa kanya.

"You forgot to close the cabinet so, I saw it. Just the posters". Sabi niya.

Hayyy salamat! Yung mga posters lang yung nakita niya.

Naghikab siya.

"Let's sleep?" tanong niya

"Yeah, come on". Ako

Tapos bumalik na kami sa kwarto at natulog.

Hindi ko pa rin makalimutan yung boses niya at saka yung view sa taas.

Ang romantic, haha! We're under the stars.
