Chapter 14 - Change My Mind

Luke's POV

We're here on the rooftop.

Nothing, we'll just talking about the things that we have done and all the memories we shared.

We're talking about this because tomorrow's the prom, tomorrow's the day that I will leave her. So yeah, I just want to cherish the moment that we're together.

... She doesn't even know that I already have feelings for her, I guess, I have to say it to her...before I leave.

I look at her, she's sitting beside me and busy looking at the stars.

Actually there's a falling star awhile ago but she didn't wish. She said that it's not worth it anymore because her dreams finally came true.

I was thinking that, was it me? That her dreams finally came true because she finally saw me? I hope so.

I get her guitar but she snatch it from me.

"I want to sing a song for again", she said.

I smiled and say, "Okay, keep singing songs for me".

She laughs and hit me hard on my arm.

"Ouch! That hurts", I yelled.

But she's still laughing.

"Hey, why are you laughing? Something's funny?"

"... Nothing, I just want to laugh. And I'm just kidding, I just sing a song for you before we go upstairs. So..."

"So, what?" I ask.

"So, you're the one who's gonna sing for me", she told me.

Hah! She got me.

"Okay fine, what song?"

"... How about, a One Direction song?" she requests.

"Okay, I'll think about some 1D songs". She handed me the guitar.

Umm... uh... what song do I have to sing?

....

This song came out in my mind.

I strum the guitar and sing

The end of the night
We should say goodbye
But we carry on?
While everyone's gone

Never felt like this before
Are we friends or are we more?
As I'm walking towards the door

I look at her. She gave me a small smile.

I'm not sure.

Leaned in when you laugh
We take photographs
There's no music on

I look at her again, and she's crying this time.

"Are you okay?"

She looks at me, she's still crying.

"Why do you have to leave?" She sniffs and hugged me.

"... I'm sorry". I can't help but cry.

It's so hard to leave when someone wants to be with you. My heart's telling me not to leave her, but I have to.

Her hug gets tighter.

I wipe the tears that's escaping from my eyes...

And Alex, she's still crying...

I can't let go of this hug. I just want to stay forever, with her.

But I guess, the world is not yet ready for our love. And our real world is not the same.

But what I feel for you is true. And it will never, ever change.

I love you, Alex.
