Tw: abusive past and mentions of death

Ms Venable's pov:

Today is Wednesday and is currently 3pm. As discussed, Ms Y/l/n and I will be having tea and chatting. I want to get to know her. Who she is, what she's been through, her interests, what she wants, what she needs, what I could give her, how can I help her?

"Good evening Ms, you look lovely today" A happy looking Y/n said. "Why thank you Y/n, you don't look so bad yourself" I responded. "Take a seat" I pour her some tea and offered her cookies. "Y/n, we could start with you, tell me, who are you?" Here we go.

Y/n's pov:

"Who am I? Mhmm what a question. I don't think that's a question I can respond. Everyone has a different perspective of you. You could hate yourself, but there's someone out there who would die for you. I've been described as rebel, calm, angry, sad, nice, hateful, naive, smart, etc. I myself would say that I'm an optimist"

"An optimist? Interesting. Why would you say that y/n?" Ms Venable asked. "Because of all the things I take form how I'm described as are the good things, and then I make them ny whole personality. I don't have to be me you know, one just has to be perfect." Ms Venable looks confused. To be honest I don't completely understand myself either.

"Tell me about your past Y/n" Oh man. "Well you know, to summarize all I had a normal childhood, until the passing of my father. My mother went crazy and I fell into a sea of sadness. My mother wasn't gentle, or caring, or loving to me anymore, and she proved that she didn't want me anymore over and over until I felt completely numb. Then she left me at an orphanage. I was never adopted so I ended here after they kicked me out for turning 18. People never adopt over that age range. So yeah." I confessed. "And what about your mom?" Ms asked. "She's somewhere out there, I don't know where."

"That sounds awful Y/n. I'm deeply sorry that all happened to you. I can't stand the fact that someone would treat you like that." She said taking my hand in hers. They're so soft. She grabbed both of my hands, then said "I want you to know that I can always help you. I'm here for you for whatever you need. You deserve just that"

"Thank you Ms, I appreciate you. Thank you so much" She nodded and then tea time was over. We tidied up and I went to my room to take a nap.

Ms Venable's pov:

2 hours later

I'm in my office sorting some work out when I hear a knock. "Madam Rachel Lynde is here, she wants to talk with you" Noelle says. Not Rachel Lynde. "Tell her I'm not home" I told her. "I'm sorry madam but she already knows you are here" I sigh and stand up. I have no other choice than to go.

See, Rachel Lynde is one of my neighbors. She is the most nosy woman to exist. She loves gossip. She knows everything and anything, and she will get the truth out of you.

"Good morning Ms Lynde" I greet her. "Oh Ms Venable, good morning dear, I was just walking by and I told myself why don't I ever visit you. So I decided to stop by for a while." She said and looked at me as if waiting for me to say something.

"Do you mind if I take a seat" She asked. Do I have any other choice? "Actually I was planning on going out today so I don't have much time"

"Oh I see, then I just wanted to ask something. Yesterday I saw someone that I didn't recognize outside of your home, do you happen to know who that was?" She asked. "No I haven't had visitors in a long time, must've been the maiden getting a bouquet for the dining room."

"Are you sure? Because she didn't really looked like Noelle to me" She said just as y/n came rushing into the room. "Ms Venable look I made you-" She stopped when she noticed the other person in the room. "Now look at that, no visitors in a long time you said?" Rachel said in a sarcastic tone. Jesus y/n what a perfect timing.

"Do you mind telling me who-" I interrupted her before she could ask. "We really must go now, Noelle will show you the exist" I said and dragged y/n out of the room.

"Who was that" she asked. "That was Rachel Lynde, she is a neighbor of mine and the ears of the whole town, and just as I was telling her that no one was currently staying with me, you came into the room."

"Oh I'm sorry" She said. "Don't be it wasn't your fault". "Can I ask you something? Why are you hiding me from people?" Y/n asked. "I don't really know... I'm scared of what people will say and I assume you could be in potential danger because of your past and all. I just want to protect you."

Y/n's pov:

I feel whole hearing her say that. She wants to protect me. She cares for me. "Ms I assure you it's alright. I'm tougher than I look, we can work this out. Maybe you're right and I can't take care of myself, but I have you, you can help me with that." I said trying to convince her. "You are right Y/n. I don't need to hide you."

"There we go Ms. Let them think whatever they want to think." She nodded and I could see the tiniest smile forming in her lips. "Would you like to accompany to run some errands tomorrow?" She asked me. "Yes!! I would absolutely love that. I can't wait!"
