(Y/N)'s POV
I sit on the plane next to Gladion who was looking up with his eyes closed. "Are you excited?" I notice him looking at me. "Yup." "Best poet in the Kanto region, have you even lived there?" "Yeah, I was born there actually, I just always lived here, well most of my childhood at least. I studied there, and then moved around because of work." I notice him blink repeatedly and chuckle, He's really trying not to fall asleep. "And where do you like the most?" "Alola of course. There's certain places I'd say are my favorites which are not in Alola, but there's always more to see the-" I cut myself off when I feel his head fall to my shoulder. I feel my cheeks dust pink as I look at him. "Sleep tight, Gla- boss."Timeskip
The day had come for the fair and we were both getting ready. After I'm done, I go to his room and knock on the door. He opens it and I see him in a suit with a slightly pissed off look on his face. "Well aren't you looking fancy, boss?" He chuckles and smiles but then frowns. "Is something wrong?" "I don't know how to do my tie." "Do you need help?" He blushes a bit in embarrassment and nods. I go inside his room and help him with his tie. "Thank you." "No problem. Let's go get some breakfast."

I got asked to recite some of my poems by the audience after winning the place of best poetry writer in Kanto. I couldn't help it, but watch his face as he listened and remember the times when we were still together. "If you don't mind we'd like for you to read one of your most known poems 'False promises'." I turn to look at the crowd and the way they looked at me in expectancy. "Before anything, I'd like to clear up the fact I'm not half as good at reading poems as I am with writing them, but here it goes... To my heart you've hurt and done only wrong. You've asked of me a lot for far too long. To believe the promises you had made. Yet the trust I gave you is now long dead." My voice starts cracking and tears start forming on my eyes. "The lies you've told I have now forgotten. Though that false promise I have not gotten. Even then I don't think y-you're to bla- I'm really sorry, I just can't." I see him make his way up stage. "Hey, the audience is not allowed to come up he-" The guards cut themselves off as he walked right past them. I feel him pull me close and hug me with an arm as he moves my chin up to look at him. He moves his hand to cup my cheek and wipes my tears away with his thumb. "It's alright, (Y/N). I'm so sorry, you don't have to keep reading, even if it's for the audience." Sorry? I shove my face onto his chest. "Wanna go somewhere else?" I nod and he grabs my hand and starts walking away.
We got in a car we rented and head back to the hotel, although we stopped at an ice cream shop first. We put on a movie. "You know, (Y/N)..." "Hm?" "I want to apologize for everything that happened when we were younger. I know it doesn't change anything but..." "Don't apologize, I could've left at any moment, so it's not your fault I chose to stay." "Do you ever regret having stayed?" "Let's not talk about this anymore." "(Y/N)..." After a while the movie ends and I stand up to head to my room. "Goodbye, see you tomorrow." "Yeah." He was about to close the door. "I never regretted staying." "Huh?" "If there was another universe in which that wouldn't have happened then maybe I would, but I have always believed that was the best outcome back then, so no. I've never regretted staying with you." I go to my room and sleep.
I wake up to my phone ringing. I see the caller and answer. "What the fuck happened?!" "I just woke up what do you mean?" "Have you seen the news? It's in the front page!" "Context?" "Gladion!" "What about him?" "Argh, just read the news and call me back!" She hangs up and I look up for the most recent news. 'President of the Aether foundation in the Kanto Literature Fair runs off with the now best poetry writer in Kanto.' I call Lillie back. "It's really not that bad." "Well it wouldn't be if there weren't people in front of the school trying to get me to tell them about your relationship status and asking about him! I won't say anything, but someone out there definitely will." "Oh come on, barely any people knew about us." "(Y/N)... someone just fucking posted information about where you're staying at on Twitter!" "Come on who even would come all the way here just to question my relationships? Now, I'm gonna go wake your brother and eat breakfast, then we'll be going to Professor Oak 's Lab." I hang up and go to his room. I knock on the door. "It's open!" I go inside and see him putting in a sweater. "You're up?" "Yeah." "That's surprising." "Lillie called a bit ago, but she didn't pick up when I returned the call." "Ah she was talking with me." "Did she need anything?" "No, she was just uhm checking up on us." "Alright."

"So you want us to help you take care of plants you're investigating?" "Just water them, I have some businesses to deal with." "And none of them are dangerous, right?" "Well that's what I'm investigating, none have fatal effects as far as I'm concerned. As long as you don't eat them you should be fine." "Alright." "Here are the keys, lock up when you're done." "Alright."
