My alarm went off, and I pressed the off button. First day at a Boston high school.

I picked out my clothes and brush my hair and my teeth. I grabbed my shoes and headed out the door. Finally.

I rode my bicycle there, and boy was the school big. I spotted my friend Taylor, we had been friends since 7th grade, and she moved here in 9th.

"Taylor!" I shout, and I see her running to me.

She hugs me. "I can't believe your here!" She said happily.

"Me too. Do we have any classes together?" I ask her.

"I don't know. Who's your home room teacher?" She asks me.

"Mr. Cohen." I tell her, and she squeals.

"Same! There's a guy in his junior year, your gonna like him." She says.

I roll my eyes and we head inside. She shows me where everything is. This definitely has some getting used too. We walked around some more and I found out that we had only one class together. It was right before lunch so, that was cool. It was math with Mr. Smith.

We walked by a group of boys, and one of them was really cute.

"Taylor, who's that?" I ask her. "The one with blonde spikey hair and blue eyes, with the varsity jacket." I ask her.

"That's the guy I said you would like! His name is Chris Evans, so many girls like him." She said.

I watched as he laughed with his friends. He was really cute and looked nice. He seemed to notice me and smiled. I felt my face heat up as I walked away. He watched as I walked away and I heard his friends teasing him as I got closer away from them.

I walked out of school and grabbed my bicycle. I walked toward the side walk when someone pushed me and shouted 'watch it loser!' As they ran away.

I looked at my knee and it was bleeding. Shit.

I limped to grab my bike and finally got on. It hurt to bend it while pedaling, so I had to walk it.

I limped as I walked my bike just around the corner of the school, when a group of girls came up to me, one of them crying.

"Excuse me?" One of the girls said.

"Yes?" I said.

"I saw the way you were looking at Chris today! You better stay away from them because Ginny here has a crush on him! Look, your making her cry!" She shouted.

"I don't like him, and just because she likes him, I'm not staying away from him either." I say, and one of them pushes my bike which lands ontop of me and pushes me down.

"Oops." They giggled, and walked away.

Shit. My elbows were bleeding due to scratching against the cement ground.

I tried to get up, and I did. I looked at my elbows and they stung up so bad. I didn't even realize someone running toward me to help me.

"Are you okay? I saw what they did." He said.

I moved my hair out of my face and saw that it was Chris. Shit.

"I-I'm fine." I said.

He smiled and helped me with my bike. "I can walk it home for you if you want." He said.

He was so cute and his voice sounded like music to my ears.

"It's fine, really. J-just a little blood." I said.

He looked at my elbows and my knee.

"Don't let them get to you. I already know Ginny has a crush on me, she's my ex. You seem really nice, I hope we can be friends." He said, which made me blush but I looked down to prevent him from seeing that.

"Yeah, sure." I said.

"Great. If we ever see my in school just come say hi." He said smiling.

I nodded and he gave me his number. I walked home and when I got there I texted him.

Hey, it's me y/n
Oh hey, the girl who was bleeding, right?
That would be me
Alright.
Maybe we could hangout sometime? Me you and the boys.

Shit. Why would he want to hangout with 'the boys.'

I don't know.
Or maybe I can take you to that drive in movie tomorrow night. Just meet me at the bench right of the school tomorrow, and we can head to my house to get some stuff.
Yeah sure, thank you.

I was blushing. Did he just ask me out on a date the first day we met?

Of course. I'll see you later.
Bye
Bye

I was so excited for tomorrow.

I ran downstairs to tell my mom I was going over Taylor's. She said okay and I spent all day thinking about our date.

The next day I waited exactly where he told me too, and then I saw the guy who shoved me on the cement yesterday walk toward me. You couldn't really see what was happening since it was on the right of the school and kids were being let out.

He came up to me as I was sitting and looked at me. I got really nervous so I brought my legs to my chest and he scoffed. Me pick me up from the collar until I was standing.

"Stop getting in my fucking way you little whore." He said.

"Let me go." I said.

He shoved me on the ground, and I scratched my ankle and it was bleeding.

"Hey! Don't put your hands on her!" I heard someone yell.

I looked over to see Chris, and he was standing up for me.

He shoved the boy and he fell on the grass.

"Put on more hand on her and your dead." Chris said.

The boy chuckled and walked away.

Chris came up to me and put some bandaids on my ankle.

"I don't get why so many people hate me." I said, starting to cry.

Chris looked at me as tears streamed down my face. I can't believe I was crying in front of the boy of my dreams.

"I-I just w-wanna be good enough. W-why can't I-I be good e-enough." I said between sobs.

Chris pulled me into his chest and sat there as he stroked my hair.

"You are good enough. Don't let anyone bully you look that. And nobody hates you. I don't hate you. It's okay, it's only the first two days." He said, and I nodded.

Chris helped me up and put my hair behind my ear. "If anyone treats you poorly, tell me, okay?" He says, and I nod.

We walked to the drive in move and sat on the side with a blanket. We weren't in a car, but it was still worth it.

He held me close to him as we watched the movie.

"Tired?" He whispered to me.
"A little." I whispered back.

He patted his legs and I laid my head on his legs. He played with my hair as I fell asleep slowly.

Chris looked up to see Brian, the boy from earlier.

"Go away Brian." Chris said.

Brian smirked and grabbed the blanket that was covering me. The cold air hit me, waking me up.

"She was fucking sleeping man come on!" Chris said as he shoved him.

They started to get into a fight on the ground when some people pulled them apart.

Chris looked at me. I looked at him and he had an upset look on his face. Had I done something?

He grabbed the blankets and helped me up and walked away.

The walk home was quiet.

"I'm sorry." I said, getting rid of the silence.
"For what?" Chris said turning to me.
"I feel like I ruined this." I said.

Chris's smile turned into a frown. He hugged me.

"You didn't do anything wrong. I did. I messed up. I'm sorry if I scared you." He said.

I smiled and told him he didn't.

"Good."
