Let's Start at The Beginning

Hello my name is Lynne Miller and I am a former model turned photographer.  I have my own business with a very diverse group of clientele including some  aspiring models that I hope to help get discovered.   I am financially secure but single.  I was married once at a very young age, however, it did not work out but I was blessed with two beautiful daughters, Rachel and Elizabeth(Lizzie for short).  They are both grown adults now and have lives of their own.  I do not see them as much as I wish I could but both call and text often. Therefore, I keep myself very busy with my work and spending time with my BFF Jessica Walker.

Jessica has been my best friend since childhood.  We grew up together in Orlando, Florida  and played hopscotch, rode our bikes, climbed trees, and played sports together. We had the best times as kids and she is now my business partner here  in Boston,  Massachusetts. Jessica has always been by my side.  We have gotten in to trouble together over the years and are as close as sisters. Both of us love New Kids on the Block (NKOTB for short) and so we spent our youth going to concerts together and listening to their music all the time.   Our bedroom walls were covered in NKOTB posters, we had the dolls, and we acquired many concert t-shirts over the years. Our parents thought we were way too obsessed, but we did not care. Jessica and I became what is now affectionally called blockheads.  Blockheads is a term used for hardcore NKOTB fans, as opposed to just the casual ones. I can honestly say that I feel closer to many blockheads who I have never even met than I do to some of my regular friends. Blockheads are more than just fans, they are a family. The day the guys called it quits, was the saddest day ever for all blockheads.  Hoping  that someday a reunion would occur, but until then we continued to enjoy the music and our memories from some of the best times in our lives.

When I was in junior high school,  I saw an ad in the mall for teen models.  I did not have the greatest self esteem but my mom always told me how pretty I was.  I thought " just for fun let's try it." What's the worst that could happen? "I would be told your are not what we are looking for." So, I showed up and went for it.   The modeling agency provided the clothes, hair and make up.  My job was to take directions from the photographer, when he said pose, I posed.  I left that day thinking that even if nothing became of it, it was an amazing experience.  I arrived at home and immediately called Jess.  I told her what I had been up to and she nearly squealed with excitement.

" I can't believe you did that!? " Jess said.  "Shy girl Lynne posing for pictures in front of strangers?! I am so proud of you!"

I was like "Yeah, I can't believe it myself, but just wanted to try something out of my comfort zone."  " It was so much fun, I stopped being nervous after the first few photos."  A few weeks went by and I had heard nothing.  I was ok with that, if nothing at all I had a life changing  learning experience and a boost to my self-esteem.

Several weeks went by and my life went on as usual. Until it didn't. I came home from school one sunny day and my mom greeted me at the door grinning from ear to ear.  She told me she had gotten a call from a model agency about my photoshoot a few weeks ago.  My heart dropped.  You see I never told my mom what I did, because honestly I did not think she would let me and I also did not think it was going to lead to anything. I stood at the door looking at her waiting for the lecture and subsequent grounding to come.  To my surprise the opposite happened.  She said the modeling agency called and said that if she gave consent, they wanted me to be a model in their upcoming photo shoot.  My mom said she agreed and was happy to hear from them.  I could not believe it. "Me a model?!" At 13!?   I had her blessing and we both we beyond ecstatic thinking of what was about to happen.  My mom did establish some rules,  no more hiding things, and she was in charge. Her job was to make sure I was safe and not being taken advantage of.  I agreed and this new exciting and challenging adventure was about to begin.
