Love Unexpected

And So It Begins...

"Why are you yelling!" "I'm right here. " "So what's got you excited all of a sudden?" 

"We have a new client and you will not believe who it is!" I squealed with excitement.

"I'm not in the guessing mood , so just tell me please." Jess said in annoyance. 

"That was Jared Paul who I was just on the phone with. Do you remember who the is?"

Jess screamed, "No fucking way!" "You are just playing with my emotions aren't you?"

"Yes fucking way!" He wants our studio to do a photo shoot with the New Kids for their upcoming tour, and all promotional gigs!" I yelled it so loud, that Cora heard too.  All three of us screamed like a bunch of teenage girls at a 1989 New Kids concert.  It was unbelievable that such an amazing opportunity came my way.  I mean "WOW! " I get to photograph my childhood crushes. I was in shock and waiting to wake up from this dream.  It had to be a dream, right? Once we all collected ourselves, we started to discuss the job like the professionals we are.  

"Jess Jared said he will be sending over the contract in the next 24 to 48 hours for us to review. " "Got it" Jess said.  

" I want you to look it over and make sure everything is agreeable. And Jess I mean look it over just like you would any other clients contract.  I know it is an amazing offer, but we need to be professional and keep our teenage urges in check."  "That means all of us including you, Cora." 

Cora looked at me and rolled her eyes, "Yes boss, professional." 

I left the office that day with an extra skip in my step.  It still seemed like a dream.  " Imagine me getting to photograph the New Kids!" What an amazing job this is going to be.  I mean I have other famous clients but this is my childhood crushes.  Life is good. 

I went into the office the next day and a certified letter arrived before noon.  It was the contract from Jared.  I looked through them and then handed them to Jess.  She was the business girl and legal gal of our partnership.  She went over them with a fine tooth comb and brought them back to me to discuss. 

"Well everything looks good.  The job is clearly spelled out, the terms and money are great. I think we should agree and sign it." Jess said with her most professional voice.  

"And before you ask, yes I really looked it over just like the professional I am." 

"Ok then let's sign. I trust you." I said with a smile.

"Cora, here is the client's contract with their contact information. Please call and set up an initial consult with them as soon as possible.  I need the guys and Jared at that appointment to discuss the details. " 

"Ok, Lynne I will take care of it right away. " Cora said with a smile. 

The appointment was made for the following Monday morning.  Jess and I were anxiously counting down the days.  There was no way I was gonna even be able to sleep Sunday night.  The excitement just kept building the closer to Monday it became. Finally, the day arrived and I was nervous as hell.  I had to keep telling myself to be professional, take deep breaths, and treat them like any other new client.   Jess and Cora were worse than I was, but I had to be the one to set an example.  I plan to be cool as a cucumber and the utmost professional. Yeah right, who am I kidding?

The guys arrived a bit early with their manager Jared.  "Good morning everyone, Please step into my office." I managed to say without fainting at the site of the New Kids, especially Jordan my man crush since I was a teen.  God he looked gorgeous as ever.  How he had managed to get even hotter than he was as a teen I cannot explain, but thank you God.  He is a masterpiece of beauty.
