Part 5

Sonic was up all night thinking about the other day. Knuckles was the only thing on his mind at this point. He was confused, and had so many mixed emotions inside him. He thought to himself, (Does Knux really like me? Nonono.. thats.. weird. We've been friends for so long i dont know how we could be more than that.. But, why do i get this fuzzy feeling when i see him. The thing that makes my heart race. The thing that gets butterflys in my stomach. .. What is it?)

Sonic finally fell asleep a few minutes later.

In the morning he woke up to tails building something new. "Whatcha building Tails?"
"Oh its um, *Almost breaks it* nothing! its just a crappy broken machine i worked on a a while back." "Okay.. well im hungry and im gonna go grab breakfast. Do you want anything?" "Yeah, um ill have pancakes, thank you!"

He got up and asked Amy, Sticks, and Knuckles what they wanted. Amy told him what she wanted. Sticks said she had some garbage this morning. But Knuckles, he wasnt even up yet. He went to go check up on Knuckles because hes usually up first, but Knuckles was just laying in bed coughing. Considering it was very cold and windy last night, Knuckles could have cought a cold. "Hey Knux, are you okay?" Sonic asked. "Im- *cough* *cough* fine, what do you need?" "I was wondering if you wanted anything for breakfast, but you dont sound to good." Sonic replied in a soft tone
"I- im okay, really." Said Knuckles caught off guard from Sonics voice.
"Well? Do you want anything or not? I can get you grape juice or soda if you want."
"Yes, that would be nice, than- *cough* -k you.." "Sorry you dont feel good. Ill pick some medicine up on the way back."

Sonic walked out and was a little bit mad no one checked up on Knuckles. Everyone was too busy doing their own thing. "Well, you guys didn't even see how Knux is doing."
They all stare at him confused. "Notice how he isn't even up yet?" Sonic said
"Yeah okay? We don't need to watch over him all the time Sonic. I feel like you baby him too much." Tails said
"Yeah, honestly Sonic. Im saying this in the nicest way possible, but Knuckles has his own life. you can deal with yours." Amy said
"What so im just not suppose to check up on my friend? What's up with you guys today?

Sonic walked to the breakfast place and got everyones stuff. He also picked up some medicine on the way. He got back to his place and gave everyone but Knuckles the stuff, and none of them said, "Thank you."
Sonic was kinda pissed off at them today so he just brushed it off. he went to go give Knuckles his stuff when he realized he sounded worse than before. "I got your drink Knux. I also got you medicine for your cold." "Thank you." Knuckles said in a scratchy voice. "Hey, you can stay at my place for a while. Until you feel better, if you would like?" "Yeah.. that would be nice.."
Sonic noticed Knuckles limping on the way to his house. The only thing he saw on Knuckles was a small blanket.

They both got to Sonics house and Sonic laid Knuckles down on the bed. "Here, ill get more blankets for you so you can keep warm." Sonic said quietly
Sonic came back with blankets and water. He set the water on the table where the medicine was and gave the blankets to him.
Knuckles quickly covered up considering how cold he was. Sonic slowly lifted the cup of water and the medicine cup. "Here, Knux take this. It will help with your throat and cough." "Thank you Sonic." He said before he forced himself to drink the medicine.
"What kind of bitter grape taste is this?!" Knuckles shouted hurting his throat more.
"Shh Knux. Just close your eyes and go to sleep. you'll feel better when you wake up."

Knuckles was catching even more feelings for Sonic. Sonic was about to walk out when Knuckles stopped him. "Um, can you sleep by me? Just this once. Pleasee.." "...Fine. But only this once." Sonic hesitated. Sonic already had feelings for Knuckles. His feelings are just gonna get bigger for Knuckles the more he's around him.
Sonic scooted next to Knuckles with him almost spooning him. "Ngh" Sonic let out showing signs that he was uncomfortable. It was too late. Knuckles was already asleep having his arm wrapped around Sonic, and his leg almost over him like a body pillow.
Sonic had no choice but to deal with it.
