Sarutobi Hiruzen was a lot of things. He was old, tired, and a closet pervert. But from where she was seated across his desk, he was an old worried grandfather. "How was your day at the academy yesterday?"

"Good."

"Did you like it there?"

He chuckled, did he really find her dumb little rants entertaining? “Who are they?”

“Shikamaru and Choji. Naruto and I have been friends since before then.”

“Naruto? You don’t say. Now tell me Koinu, what was your favorite part about the academy?”

“Well… The lessons were cool, but they’re things most of the clan heirs already know. I also liked the sparring matches, but I got in trouble for not using the academy style. Iruka showed me the academy style and it’s stupid! It won’t work in the real world! Anyways, the girls didn’t even try! Most of them are only there to gock at Sasuke. What’s so special about him anyway? He’s an orphan, like me and Naru. Sure, he’s a clan heir but he’s so rude. I think he should get help, he’s acting a lot like my brother, Taji did.”

“Taji? Your eldest brother?”

“Yes. Taji was a lot like Sasuke. I think he should be given help. My brother never got help and look what he did.”

The third considered it. “You’re right… I’ll have him go with the Yamanaka, they’re experts in psychology. Is there anything else?”

“Some of the basic jutsus are dumb. The clone jutsu is an E-ranked jutsu, so it’s never been used outside of the classroom. Why bother to teach it? Naruto struggles with that jutsu cause he has a lot of chakra, so we went to the library and found one that was a little bit harder. The shadow clone jutsu. He can do that one just fine.”

“Hm? So what I have gathered is: you don’t like the taijutsu style, or the class as they are boring for those who come from shinobi families, and that the basis three are too easy and are rarely used in battle. Is that correct?”

“Yes! Also, I think you should offer more lessons. Specific lessons. If the current class were to graduate, only nine of them would pass the final exam. From those nine, seven would be clan heirs. The other two would be Naruto and maybe Sakura, if the grade system still works the way it does now.”

“Hm? And you came to this conclusion how?”
“Wolfie and I were talking about it on the way here. She advises to start making changes now, before you release a bunch of unprepared children into a world you didn’t prepare them for.”

“Very well. I’ll discuss this further with the headmaster and the teachers. As for you, I’ll give you a choice. You can either go to the academy three or two days a week.”

“Where would I go for the rest of the week?”

“I’ll have you tailing clan heads, namely Yamanaka, Akimichi, Nara, Aburame, Inuzuka, and Hyuga.”

“I thought Hyuga were very secretive.”

“They are, it surprised me when Hiashi willingly agreed to my proposition. You’ll have weekends off as most kids do.”

“So… My weekday will be spent being a student and an heiress?”

“Yes.”

“I’ll go to the academy for three days. Twice a week, I’ll tail a head.”
