"We're gonna be late!"
The two tall guys dashed through the streets of Zeratik, as Yunho stuffed the rest of his toast into his mouth and Mingi struggled to pull on his coat whilst flat-out sprinting.
Despite the fact that both he and his best friend were most likely going to be late for college – for the fifth time in a row that week – Mingi couldn't help but smile.
It had been almost four years since Mingi and Yunho had met.
Mingi himself felt it the most, but he was so much happier than he had been four years ago. Four years ago, he was trapped in a gang and forced to do things he didn't want with the constant fear of death hanging over him, but now, he was living a normal life – free to do what he wanted. And he had his best friend Yunho beside him as well.
"Hurry up!" Yunho called, and Mingi quickened his pace.

"Hello there, Seonghwa." Big Grey's pleasant voice echoed around the large room. The end of the week had come – and so had the time for Seonghwa to report back.
Seonghwa bowed his head as he entered the room, the large double doors swinging shut with a swoosh behind him.
"How have you been doing?"
"Fine, sir. How about you?"
"I've been doing great as well, thank you," Big Grey said. He rested his chin on his hand, an amused expression outlining his face, the corners of his lips ever so slightly lilting up at the ends. "So, have you anything to report?"
"Not much, sir," Seonghwa said, his tone reserved – as it usually was around the boss. "One of our Browns, Kangmin, was caught coming into contact with a rookie from Crows, and launched an attack on Hongjoong."
"Oh really?" If anything, Big Grey sounded even more amused now – and a tad intrigued. "What did you do about it?"
"I shot him, sir – it's treachery."
"Mmm."
There was a pause, muffled and tense – for Seonghwa, anyway.
"Hongjoong wanted to thank you, sir. For getting him such a nice house."
Big Grey chuckled.
"Oh he needn't do that."
Seonghwa raised an eyebrow, prompting for explanation.
"Oh come on, my dear little assassin, you really think there wouldn't have been a property within dear Hongjoong's price range?"
"Do you mean..."
"Yes, of course. I heard from a report that he was coming, and...informed the housing agencies to higher their prices." Big Grey chuckled again, an aristocratic giggle that rung out like the twinkling of wind chimes throughout the room. "It was complete coincidence that he came across some of the Browns, however. Thankfully Dongju saved him."
There was a pause. It seemed like it would stretch on forever, like the eternities of the gods, the unbreakable string of time. Nothing dared interrupt it.
"Why are you so fixated on Hongjoong, sir?" Seonghwa asked suddenly. It was very out of character for him, Big Grey thought, but he decided it wasn't a matter that needed to be considered a problem. It was probably a side effect of giving Seonghwa the freedom to live outside of the Cherries dorms, he assumed.
"Fixated? What do you mean by that?" he replied, feigning ignorance, and all the while staring Seonghwa inquisitively, waiting for anything else out of the ordinary to happen.
