San stared at the indoor space surrounding him, as Hongjoong-hyung went to clean up. It was still strange that he was indoors and not in danger for once. Seonghwa had gone into his room, to read, apparently, and San definitely wasn't going to bother him. He shivered at even the mere thought of the older demon.
It had been terrifying, passing him in the street, and even more terrifying when he realised the wallet he had stolen was his. And almost on the verge of tears when he realised he was tailing him.
San sighed, and leaned backwards on the sofa.
He had only agreed to stay here because Hongjoong was a mixture of brown and red – hardworking and righteous. He seemed trustworthy enough.
Seonghwa, on the other hand, was a black – signalling that he was a killer of many – and by many, it didn't mean only ten or eleven, but much, much more than that. San shivered again, and drew up his legs to his chest.

"...so we'll be leaving in a couple of month's time anyway," Hongjoong said animatedly to San, having explained all of his plans and ideas to him once he'd settled down. "Then we'll be off, off on our adventure at sea! Once we get a bigger crew together, of course."
The demon boy smiled. He seemed to like the idea of Hongjoong's dream, which made his chest bloom with pride.
The sun was beginning to show signs of setting, and Hongjoong suggested that San sleep in Seonghwa's room as it was the largest.
San's eyes immediately perked up in alarm at the mention of the other demon. He shook his head violently and clung to the older demon, burying his head into his shoulder. Sometimes, even in the short time that Hongjoong had known him, the way the little demon acted reminded him of a child. He wondered just how long the boy had been on the streets for him to act that way.
Long story short, San ended up sleeping in Hongjoong's room. He offered for the kid to sleep on his bed, but San refused, claiming that sleeping on the floor would be more comfortable for him. Hongjoong hoped that this was the truth, and not just San being nice. But then again, Hongjoong doubted that anybody who'd just come off the streets and a life of robbery and petty crime would try and act 'nice'.

San woke up with a start. Weak sunlight filtered in through the blinds, and he rolled over onto his side, Shiber snuggled comfortingly in his arms. For a second, he was confused by the soft blankets enveloping him, but then he remembered what had happened a couple of days ago. He wasn't on the streets anymore – he was living with Hongjoongie-hyung and Seonghwa-hyung now.
He yawned and got up, heading over to the living room, after seeing that Hongjoong wasn't in bed. He wondered what was for breakfast.
The time on the analogue clock hanging above the sofa read seven o'clock, and Hongjoong was nowhere to be seen. San wandered around the house, giving Seonghwa's room a wide berth, until he saw a post-it-note sitting on the table.
'Hey San, I know you wake up quite early, so I left behind this note to explain. I go to work on the weekdays, which means I won't be home for most of the day — yesterday was a bank holiday which was why I didn't go, but from now on until the end of the week I'll be working. But don't worry! Since Seonghwa-hyung will be there with you ^^
If you get hungry, just wake him up. He won't mind.
~ Hongjoongie-hyung ♡'
San groaned inwardly. He didn't want to spend the whole day with Seonghwa; he was terrified of him.
