Just to clear your doubts Ranbir has no mistress. And he was just angry and it took a toll on him. All those words he said were because she hurt his so called ego. Nobody has ever said no to him and so it triggered his anger. Hope he gets better in the upcoming chapter.

Sad chapter ahead.

Ranbir's POV

"Sir, bade sahab ko heart attack aaya hai. Doctor ne aapko turant bulaya hai."

(Sir, your father had an heart attack. Doctor has called you immediately.)

Sharma ji's words kept ringing in my ears the whole flight back.

Papa was fine till the evening. We even spoke on a call. He told me how he was happy and proud of me for the victory.

Then how can something happen to him all of a sudden. I hope he is fine.

Papa is the only family I have. Mom died when I was a baby and since then Papa handled me and politics both.

I have learnt everything from him. Whatever I am today, its because of him.

He is my guide, my anchor.

We landed soon and I rushed to the hospital. The entire floor was kept reserved for us. The media was already gathered outside.

"Doctor, what happened?" I asked as soon as I reached.

"Thank god you came here in time. He doesn't have much time left." The doctor said and I felt like my world has collapsed.

"What?" I whispered weakly. He gave me a sympathetic smile.

"He had a major heart attack. He was already suffering from heart problem and this is a big blow to his health. You should meet him." The doctor said and motioned me to go inside where papa was.

My legs were frozen. How could I go in knowing that this might be the last time we see each other.

Sharma ji kept a hand on my shoulder and nudged me forward.

I entered the room slowly and saw him asleep.

Taking a chair near him, I held onto his hand.

Every word, every lesson he has given me started coming back to my mind.

He opened his eyes and gave me a weak smile.

"Papa" I said as a tear escaped my eye.

"Are mere sher, aise rote thodi hai. I never taught you to get so weak." He said. His ever so strong voice came out so low.

(My tiger, don't cry like this.)

"Mujhe chor ke mat jana papa. Abhi to hume aur kaam karna hai." I said looking at him with a pleading look.

(Please don't leave me papa. We have so much more work to do.)

"I have done a lot of work and I trust you enough to know that you will become a bigger and better politician than me. I am so proud of you Ranbir. Your mother is so proud of you." Papa said while a tear escaped his own eye.

"Waise wo Jaipur wali kaisi hai?" He suddenly asked taking me aback.

(By the way, how is that girl from Jaipur?)

"Aap ko kaise.." I asked in shock.

(How do you know?)

"Tera baap hoon. Teri har kahabar hoti hai mujhe." He said with a smile.
