Pls read the note at the end.

"Tumharey liye ek rishta aaya hai."

(There is an alliance for you.)

I started coughing loudly after hearing mom's words. Dad chuckled while mom rubbed my back.

"W-What?" I asked in horror. What is this now? For once I thought that everything is happening peacefully.

"You are old enough for marriage and even your career is so good and settled. We think its time for you to think about marriage." Mom said with a smile.

They don't know that I have already found someone but if I tell them now they will kill me. I need to do something quick.

"But mom, I am just starting an important project in my life and I don't want any distractions." I said trying to make her understand.

"We know beta and that is why we are not forcing you into anything. You can take your time but it is our job to find the right groom for you. You should focus on your work and let us worry about your marriage." Mom said, holding my hand.

I nodded, thank god they are not rushing anything. Mom opened a picture of a boy on her phone and showed me.

He was good looking but no way I am marrying him.

"I-I will think about it." I said trying to close the topic for now.

Mom's face brightened up after listening to me.

"Sure Geet, take your time."

The next morning I told them that I didn't like the guy, I gave some stupid reason but it convinced them.

4 months later

"LJSP party's win has once again proven that Ranbir Raghuvanshi is as powerful as his father. The party has won with a swooping majority- " The TV was switched off by KJ who threw the remote away and continued to work. I chuckled at his irritated face.

"What?" He asked me raising an eyebrow. "I am not interested in politics."

I nodded at him and continued to work. I was in Delhi from a month, working on the new project. But not once had I met Ranbir. He was so busy in the elections and the results have finally been declared. I am proud of him and so happy too. Now we don't have to stay away from each other. I miss him so much. Can't wait to meet him.

I am feeling so emotional these days because of the distance between us. I am getting insecure for no reason. Maybe it is because we have already stayed apart for a long time in the past that now it feels difficult to do that again.

My phone rang and I frowned after reading my mother's name. She doesn't call me at such odd times.

"Hello mom" I answered, coming out of the cabin.

"Geet! Beta congratulations. You are now an aunt. Ankita was blessed with a baby girl." Mom's excited voice said from the other side.

My eyes widened in happiness and I squealed making my co workers look at me strangely.

"That is such a great news mom. I am so happy." I said with a smile.

"I know. Can you take a little break and come home?" Mom asked me, her voice was filled with hope. I have not gone home from last four months. I miss them all now.

"Ofcourse I can, anyway the work load has lessened a bit." I said.

I can't wait to go home. I love babies and now I have a baby at my house.

I informed KJ and he was kind to allow me to go home for a week. I even told Ranbir that I am going home. He was a little disappointed because we haven't met and he was planning on meeting me. But we will have to wait some more I guess.
