Author's POV
The Thapar family was siting in their house filled with worry. Ranbir had caused a sudden havoc in their lives and Geet was with him. Their relationship was against the customs of Thapar's who were clutched in the old fashioned ways of society.
Geet's mother was crying silently while her husband and sons paced back and forth thinking of a way to stop this. There house was surrounded by guards and curious relatives were continously calling them.
"Why can't we go the police? He is doing this against our wish." Karan said racking a hand from his hair.
"Do you think the police will help you? Nobody in this country can help us. This is all against our will and we can't stop it. We are helpless. He has destroyed our reputation-" Geet's father was saying but was cut off mid sentence by his eldest son.
"Reputation my foot!" Arnav said raising his voice.
The three of them were startled at his words and stared at him with confused eyes.
"Is your reputation more important than your daughter's happiness?" Arnav asked his father with accusatory eyes.
His father was taken aback by his question.
"What are you saying?" His mother asked.
"Something that I should have said a lot earlier. Even I was against the idea of Geet falling in love with someone and marrying him. But I was wrong." Arnav said looking straight at his parents.
"I used to love a girl. I wanted to marry her but her parents were the same as you. I know what it feels to not be with the one that you love. When my heart broke, I realised what pain we had forced upon my sister. And you! You forced me to marry someone whom I didn't love. Do you know how difficult it was for me and Ankita? No. Because you were too busy keeping your reputation intact."
"I was weak, I couldn't fight for my love. But I am glad that my sister is strong. And the man that she loves, loves her even more even after so many years. So even if you all don't, I will still go to her wedding." Arnav said before storming out of the house.
Everyone was shaken after listening to him. Geet's mother sat down realising the pain of her children.
Even Karan was feeling remorse for his actions and his behavior towards his little sister.
But his father was staring at the door with a serious look. (I remembered BigB from mohabbatein lol. Parampara pratishta and anushasan lmao.)

Geet's POV
Finally the jewellery selection was done after the flowers selections. This is so exhausting. Even if there are planners to do everything I and Ranbir have to look into everything personally. It's only a week time and planning a wedding is so hectic.
I miss my family in all this. I wanted mom to be there to help me in choices. Dad's supervision is a must for this function. But nobody is here with me.
"Finally I get you all for myself." Ranbir said, hugging me from behind.
I smiled and rested the back of my head on his chest.
"Are you happy?" He asked looking down at me. My smile faltered as I thought. I was definitely happy to marry him. But somewhere I wanted my parents to be here.
"I am. I am very happy for this marriage. But I wish my family was here." I said as a tear escaped my eyes. I don't want to ruin his happiness but I can't help it. He is the only one I can talk to in this huge mansion.
He turned me around and hugged me.
"Hey I know you miss them. But trust me everything will be fine. You will have them at the wedding." He said kissing mu head.
"How? You will abduct them too?" I asked.
"No, they will come by themselves. They will accept this soon." He said and I know he is only trying to better my mood. I don't think my stubborn family will melt so easily.
I remembered something and I looked up at him.
"You know something weird happened." I said and he looked at me.
"What?"
"KJ, he was behaving very weird like something is bothering him. I don't know what happened. Is he angry with me?" I asked with a sad look. I don't like people mad at me.
Ranbir started laughing loudly making me frown.
"Oh my little one. You are so innocent. That poor guy had a crush on you and now he is designing your wedding dress." He said and my eyes widened.
KJ liking me? No way.
"What are you saying? There is no way he likes me. He is my boss." I said making a disgusted face. Ranbir only chuckled and shook his head.
"Trust me little one, the day I saw you guys dancing I knew what was going on in his little mind. I wonder how he didn't say anything in all these months. But poor guy he has to make our outfits with a broken heart." Ranbir said with a smirk. I felt bad for KJ now. What if he is really hurt? Will this affect our work in office?
"Stop overthinking now. Think about us." Ranbir said, resting his forehead against mine.
I smiled and thought about our big day.

1 week later
"Beautiful" The makeup artist whispered and her assistants agreed as they saw my face in the mirror. I was ready for my wedding in a beatiful golden bridal lehenga. The makeup was done beautifully and it complimented my outfit perfectly.
I looked like a princess, just how my mother used to say my wedding would be. The thought of her brought tears to my eyes. The wedding was in an hour and there was no sign of my family except Arnav bhaiya. He had came two days earlier. He apologized for his behavior to me.
His presence made it a lot easier for me because he was like my father in all this.
"Please don't cry ma'am, the makeup will be ruined." The artist said giving me a tissue.
I sniffed and composed myself. I can't cry now, I cannot ruin Ranbir's happiness too.
"I-I look beautiful. Just how I wanted it to be. Thank you." I said to the artist who smiled at me gratefully.
After a few minutes my brother entered the room. He was speechless after seeing me. I chuckled at his reaction and he hugged me.
"I can't believe you have grown up so much. You look so beautiful gudiya. May you always be happy." He said before kissing my forehead.
"Thank you bhaiya, thank you so much for coming." I said smiling at him.
"Bas saara pyaar bhai ko hi de dogi?" Came a voice from the door.
(Will you give all your love to your brother only?)
