When I woke, the curtains were drawn open and the room was filled with sunlight. I could see the dust floating around in the room, they weren’t anything special but I also thought it looked really pretty, like tiny snowflakes.

I was feeling a little better, so I decided to get to the common room, but the nurse stopped me and told me that I still needed to rest.

I lay there and looked out the window; it was a beautiful morning, the sky was blue, and I could feel a small breeze. I really wished I could go outside, it’s no fun stuck in this room.

I was trying to relax when I heard a sound coming from outside. I got out of bed to see what was going on, when suddenly a Slytherin on a broomstick whizzed past the window and I fell, landing on my bum. When I got back up, I noticed that they were having quidditch practice outside, and it was quite entertaining, I could see some other students coming out to watch them, when I spotted Scorpius, Albus, Rose and James.

I waved at them, but only Albus noticed, and he waved back. I was glad at least one of them had noticed me. When I turned around to take a sip from my glass of cold water, I turned back and noticed that Albus and James were gone, and it was just Scorpius and Rose. This somehow gave me an unsettling feeling, but I just decided to ignore it as Albus and James came in the room.

“Hey, are you feeling any better?” Albus asks me as he sits down next to me.

“Yeah, I’m feeling a lot better, I might be able to get out by tomorrow.” I say excitedly. I’ve really missed my friends these past days; they come and visit and all, but it’s not really the same.

Albus laughs seeing how excited I am.

Almost forgetting about James, I turn to look at him, wondering why he’s so quiet, but I notice that he’s too busy looking at Rose and Scorpius.

A while later, Albus makes his way out but James is still preoccupied by Rose and Scorpius.

I get out of bed and walk up next to him. “Boo.” I say before he suddenly jumps, almost falling over. I laugh at his reaction; why was he so interested in them anyways.

“Don’t scare me like that…” He says, panting.

I giggle, lightening the mood a little.

“What’s so interesting about Rose and Scorpius anyways?” I ask as I look to where they are standing. They seem to be in deep conversation; Rose seems to be happy but Scorpius looks like he’s in a serious mood. I wonder what they’re talking about.

I look back at James who is now also looking at them again. When Rose laughs at something Scorpius said, James’s face seemed to light up. When I looked closer, he seemed to be studying Rose’s face intently, finally figuring out what James was all about, I let out a small gasp; I cover my mouth but it’s too late and James looks at me, confused.

“What?” He says, tilting his head to the side slightly.

I look at him for a while. Rose and James, not too bad, but I know, and he knows that she has her eyes on someone else. I give him a sympathetic look and he seems to know what I’m thinking.

“So you’ve figured it out huh? Took you long enough; and I thought you were smarter than Albus, yet he figured it out way before you did.” He says as he lets out a small laugh, not a happy laugh, but a pitiful laugh.

“W-well I don’t know much about this kind of… stuff… okay?” I say, as I blush slightly.

He chuckles. I can tell he’s still pretty bummed out about this, but he seems to look better.
