Chapter 18

"Wow, Calynn!"

My mom's jaw fell when she saw Calynn on her baby pink tube gown. It was really a big gown and there's a flower design at the end of her gown. Her hair is curly and properly arranged at her back. She really looked like a princess.

Oh, my baby is growing up already.

"Mommy, do I look okay?" Calynn asked her. We're already here at the hotel for her photo and video coverage.

"You look perfect, anak." Mom held her cheek.

Calynn looked at me and smiled. "Ate, do I look beautiful?"

Kaagad akong napangiti. "So much, Caly."

She sighed. "I'm already 18, Mom!"

"Calynn!" We all looked at the girl who just shouted. Nakita namin si Lian na pumasok sa loob ng room. She's wearing a beautiful sleeveless white dress that was hugging her body perfectly. Her hair is curly and her lips were maroon. Wow. She looked elegant.

"Lian." Calynn greeted.

"Ay, hala!" Nagtakip siya ng bibig. "Nandito po pala kayo, sorry po." She looked at both me and my mom.

Mom chuckled. "It's okay, hija."

"I'll go to the venue, I'll check everything." I told Calynn.

"Ate, can we have a picture first?" nahihiyang sabi ni Calynn.

Tumingin ako kay Mommy tapos sa kaniya. "O-Okay."

"Yay! Kuya, pa-picture kami. Faster po baka mag-change pa 'yung mind ni Ate." sabi ni Calynn sa photographer.

Natawa ako at lumakad palapit sa kaniya. I was wearing a black fitted dress with glitters that has spaghetti strap. Straight cut 'yung chest part niya so it was fine. The dress fell below just below my knee. I also wore a silver YSL stilettos. My jewelries are the earrings that Calynn gave me, my cross gold necklace and the ring that Marco gave me.

"Ganda mo po." sabi ni Calynn nang tumabi na ako sa kaniya.

I chuckled. "You're more beautiful."

We both looked at the camera. Medyo nahihiya pa si Calynn sa 'kin. Bahagyang napaawang ang labi niya nang yakapin ko siya mula sa gilid. I can see her eyes widened. Na-click pa nga ng camera man 'yung capture kaya sure ako na ang cute niya ro'n.

After the picture taking, I went to the venue. Pinag-drive ako ni Mang Luis dahil ayaw ko na nagta-taxi kahit umaga. I always want to be safe for Marco.

"Is everything okay?" I asked the organizer.

"Yes po. Smoke and spotlight for the debutant's entrance."

"The music?"

"True colors by Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake." she answered.

"Okay, good." I replied.

I sat in our table⎯family table. Most of Calynn's friends were here already. Mayroon ding ibang business partners na ininvite sina Mom and Dad. Weird.

"Hi po, Ate." Nat, Addie and Elly greeted me when they saw me.

"Hi." I replied and smiled a bit. "There's your table." I pointed their table. Parehas nasa harap ang table namin nina Mommy at table nila. Calynn suggested na sa harap umupo 'yung four friends niya.

"Thank you po." Elly smiled at me.

"Where's Lian?" narinig ko pang bulong ni Nat kay Addie.

"Baka naghahanap ng gwapo, alam mo naman 'yon." Addie replied.
