Chapter 4. it must be a dream

I woke up feeling stiff and cold. what happened last night? I questioned myself. 

' The nine-tailed legend is true. '

That guy and that woman were a fox. I bit my lower lip. panic causing my breathing to fail. okay, calm your ass down. you're going to be fine. I sighed and calmed myself down. 

" Y/N! wake up! you're going to be late! "

" No, I am not going to be late. mom! I am never late. "

I yelled back to my mother. and covered my face with my hands for some seconds. eventually, I got up and quickly got ready for school. 

" bye, mom. see you later. "

I waved my hand to my mother who waved back. I walked at a slow pace to school. no reason to go fast when you know you're never going to be late. it was only 6:59 AM after all. I played some music on my headphones. normal BTS songs. 

I haven't gotten far from my home when a car ( a very very rich and fancy car ) stopped right in front of me. making me stop and stare. out of the car was him. that fox. I was paralyzed with fear. I backed away. 

" Someone's attitude changed overnight "

He spoke casually. and walked closer to me. 

" Why don't you hop into my car, so we can have a little conversation? "

" I-I of course! I'd love to. "

This is the exact opposite of what I wanted to say! I looked up at him. one of his eyes had changed. in to a golden color. magic? before I could say anything or react, he started to pull me to his car. I was in his car in a second.

" Do you want me to take you to school miss? "

" No! "

I growled. the guy just smirked and replied.

" Yes? okay, let's go. "

I am not getting out of this sooner or later. I sighed and looked away. 

" What do you want from me? "

" Guess. what would I want from you? "

" You want me to keep my mouth shut? "

He looked at me for some time and smiled.

" It's not like someone will believe you. so no. not that. "

" Then what is it! "

I asked making my voice slightly powerful. 

" It's about reincarnation. if you can believe it. "

" Mm no. I don't believe it. "

I hissed back at him. and he let out a low laugh. 

" But it is true. I had a dog, a couple of hundred years ago and well he died. and I found out he got reincarnated into a human boy. "

" You have no idea how to treat him? "

" Of course I do. it's not that I am bad with children. it's that he keeps on stalking me. and it's difficult to work. so. "

" So keep him away from you? "

I asked softly. and this time he nodded. 

" And what if I don't? I doubt that he will listen to me. "

" Then. you and you're family and friends all die. painfully. "

I stared at him. and he just smiled. 

" Hope you can do a good job. okay, we are here miss Y/N. "

He got out of his car and opened the door for me. some of my classmates were staring at me. oh no. they better not think I have a boyfriend. 

" Oh, right I forgot. here's my number. you can call me anytime you want. I'll see you later Y/N.  "

He pets my head a few times. or it was what others would see. 

" Do you're job well. "

He whispered. I got my courage back and asked.

" What's your name? "

I asked in a low voice. 

" You don't have to know but since you asked. it's Lee Rang. "

I nodded the slightest bit. and just like that he moved away from me and waved, and left. 

" Y/N!! it's him right!! the guy you bumped into?? "

Ugh no. I groaned in annoyance. I did not think my friends will be here. dumb me. 

" U-m no? "

I said. giving them a lamo face. they smirked a bit. 

" I see someone is in love~ "
