The next day :

There was no school so Hera stayed home and was taking care of her sister. Hera was cooking dinner and cleaning, she wasn't really in the mood for anything.

Knocking at Door:

Hera went to answer the door.

Hera - how can I . . . Hermes . . . how did you know where I lived?

Hermes - I asked around

Hera's sister Olympia pops up at the door.

Hermes - hi Olympia

Hera - it's okay you can talk to him, this is my friend

Olympia - *shy* hi

Hermes - hello Ms . Olympia

Hera - go play

Olympia goes to play with her toys and Hera's dad comes with a bottle at the door.

Kevin - who's at the fucking door

Hera - nobody just goes back to drinking

Kevin then punches Hera's stomach, drops her to the floor, and kicks her. Hermes watched all of this go down and when Kevin left Hera, Hermes helped her up, and Hermes put her in his car along with Olympia. Hera had passed out and Olympia was nervous because she hoped that her sister would be alright. Hermes drove her to his house, brought her to his room, and put her on his bed.

Hermes - Olympia do you want to go play?

Olympia - yeah *smiles*

Hermes - there's a playroom in the next room go play, we'll be in here ok

Olympia - ok *walks away*

Hermes sat on the bed, moved Hera's hair out of her face, and held her hand. Hera woke up, sat up, coughed as she was breathing heavily, and thought she was still at her house.

Hermes - are you okay?

Hera - I'm good, thank you *smiles*

Hermes - it's no problem

Hera - where am I?

Hermes - you are at my house, I brought you and Olympia

Hera – where is she? Is she okay? Did he hit her?

Hermes - she's alright, she's in the playroom, and no he didn't hit her but . . . does he always hit you?

Hera - it started when I was 12, my mother died giving birth to me and when I was 12 I looked more like her so he started to beat me up whenever he had a chance

Hermes - why don't you leave?

Hera - and go where, I don't have money, and when I do I spend it on bills, food, and so much more... you know that day when you asked me if I eat

Hermes - yeah

Hera - no I don't eat, by the end, I only have money for one person so I buy food for Olympia and not myself, so I haven't eaten in like . . . two weeks

Hermes - Rita *yells*

Rita - yes

Hermes - can you please make three chicken pasta, please

Rita - right away *walks away*

Hera - what was that for?

Hermes - you're gonna eat and I would like for you to stay here.

Hera - that's too much, I can't pay you for letting me -

Hermes - it'll be for free, and please this is a peace offering for my awful mother and the way she treated you
