I know I might seem like the awful mom on earth, but I can't tell the truth.

Aaron comes over and said, he would find a way to track the car in any way possible.
Mom thank him for his help and suggested that he drop us at home.
He had no problem doing that.

We got home after some time.
I was just on my way to my bedroom when my phone rang.
I picked up heeding Dalton's voice in the background.

"Son,".
I screamed.

Immediately Aaron looks and rushed to meet me, shaking with fear.

He takes the phone away from my hand and spoke with the man at the other end of the call.
While talking, I still heard Dalton shouting for help.
"Put it on loudspeaker," mom whispered.
Aaron nods and switched it over.

I begged him to let go of my son, however, the plans of getting that to work, blew up the minute he asked for a ransom of 10 million dollars, in exchange for him.

How the hell I'm I going to get such an amount of money?
I had no idea of getting such an amount when Aaron volunteered to get the cash by tomorrow morning.

He disconnects the call.

I don't know if I should be thankful or feel guilty.
Aaron once again. Guaranteed that nothing was going to happen to my son before leaving.

Mom rolls her eyes at me and walked him to his car.

Although she didn't say a word, I saw the look of disappointment in her eyes.

The following morning. I woke up having a bad dream,  a familiar face tried to kill me.
Aaron's wife, Elena.

Mom saw me getting dressed to meet Aaron.
I got to the Diaz mansion and walked Inside.
Mrs. Mathilda and her husband, both welcomed me with open arms.
They pulled me over to seat while one of the maids goes to inform Aaron of my visit.

While waiting, Mrs. Mathilda was rather nosy to know about Dalton. She asked me some strange questions, I didn't want to feel like she was trying to fish out something, however, the minute she made her intention to know how old my son was? I know she was trying to find out if Dalton was her son's child or not.

Aaron walks down later with a suitcase in his hand.
Mr. Smith asked him if everything he needed was in there, Aaron shook his head and left.

I'm guessing he told his parents about what happened.

I got a call from the kidnapper before leaving, he asked us to come with the ransom to an abandoned constitution site, close to the baryons bridge.

It was a one-hour drive. But we got there in less than an hour, because of the free road.

I rushed out of the car, Aaron advised me not to do anything stupid and stick with the plan.
What plan? I wanted to know but he left in a hurry.

Dalton was dragged out of a car with two men next to him.
He tried to run away, however, he was forcefully dragged back.

Aaron pulls up the suitcase and said that the exchange was to be made at the count of three.
Dalton looks at me.
And just when everything was beginning to go smoothly, the sound of the police siren, created a huge dispute.

Dalton was forcefully taken away when they heard the siren.

As I took off immediately to save my son.

While fighting, Dalton bites the hand of the man holding him and jumped down from the car.
I didn't know that one of the men had a gun in his hand and he fired at him. it.

Freaked out at that moment. I turned around, and right there Aaron was standing between my son and a loaded rifle.

Did Aaron just take a bullet for my son?..
