Mom comes and sees us together.
Keith accompanied her too. He wasn't sure to either smile or look pissed, however, he didn't say anything, after finding me with Aaron.
I got up to leave and the strain of my hair got stuck back to Arron's shirt.
It drew me back to him.
Dalton runs in at the moment. I lifted my eyes and saw how elected he looked seeing me close to his father.
Of course, he doesn't know that yet.

Keith pulled out his hand and grabbed me up, forcing me to leave.
We went outside to talk. But before that, I could have sworn I saw Mom handing a high-five to Dalton.
Did they perhaps do this?..

"Keith, are you okay?".
I placed my hand on his shoulders.
He turned and asked me why I had Aaron lingering around my house.
Although that was a good question. I don't know, maybe I'm doing this because I am compelled to or the fact that Dalton seems happy being around Aaron.

"Keith! Try to understand, please,".
I said.
"Understand what, Samantha, the man who abandoned you is in there, having a good time with your son and mom, look,".
He came close, "I know I have no say in your life, but with everything you've told me about Aaron, it's better to keep him away from your life and that of your son and family, or else, good night dear,"
He gets into his car and leaves.

Keith might have a strange way of seeing things but yes, Aaron shouldn't be too close to my family.
I got back into the house. Dalton was still playing with Aaron when I came in.
He didn't pay attention to me, even though I almost fell again, looking at them.
Mom stopped me on my way to my bedroom.
She wanted us to talk. I followed her to her bedroom Instead of mine since it was a lot closer.
Mom expressed interest in celebrating Dalton's birthday, which is two weeks away.
Can't believe I forgot about that. I've been so inclined to get Aaron away that I forgot about my son's birthday.
"So, what exactly do you have in mind?".
I looked at the door to see if one was coming.
Mom nods and brings out a huge birthday plan.

It had a guest of over fifty invites. why do I feel like my mom is trying to do something I don't know?
"Mom?".
Dalton walks in later.
I turned around to find him standing with Aaron.
Aaron says he was on his way back home.
I snatched Dalton's hand and watched him leave.
Mom grabbed Dalton away from me and whispered something to his ears.
He nodded and suddenly stopped Aaron from leaving.
"Uncle,".
He shouted.
Aaron turns and Dalton comes to him.
"What, is everything okay," he asked.

I started from Mom's room.
Dalton pulled him down to his height and whispered to his ears.
While they spoke, Aaron smiled.
There was this feeling inside of me that Dalton was inviting Aaron to his birthday party.

My suspicion came true when Aaron agreed to attend.
"Sure, I'll come to your birthday party,"
He says.

Aaron left. Mrs Jane took my son to his bedroom, I looked away however Mom's smile caught my attention.
She never smiles without a reason.

Why do I feel like my mom is planning on doing something?
I hope  Dalton's birthday, doesn't  uncover a lot of things I don't have answers to.
