CHAPTER NINETY: 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐋𝐎𝐂𝐊𝐄𝐓
▬▬▬❦▬▬▬"Alright, you fought with The Dark Lord who was behind Professor Quirrel's head in first year, you fought with The Dark Lord's memory which was stored in a small diary that were in Weasley's possession in second year.. In third year, you fought with Peter Pettigrew who you thought was innocent but it was really Sirius who was framed for the lead of murder of his friends, in fourth year, you finally saw The Dark Lord in person who murdered Diggory, fifth year, you fought with the Death Eaters in the Department of Mysteries while The Dark Lord possessed you, and now you're searching for this locket horcrux thing a man with the initials R. A. B replaced with a fake one.. did I catch up correctly? I didn't include the further details because otherwise it would take too long." Draco leaned on his hands, fidgeting with the couch in Grimmauld Place while the trio and I were sat on the floor like little kids.
The fire from the fireplace illuminated our features which felt like it was Halloween night and we were telling each other ghost stories. I was leaning on the foot of the couch while I fidgeted with the bracelet George gave me as a Christmas present.
It's been two days since we arrived here in Grimmauld Place after the ambush on the wedding reception. We spent days planning our next move and telling Draco everything that happened since the first year without leaving any details.
"Yeah, you're finally caught up in the story. You're quite a fast learner, I thought you'd be confused a lot at every situation we said." Harry said with a relieved look.
"Thanks, I may come off as smart sometimes.. and Weasley, you didn't really need to re-enact the whole situation, it only made you look stupid." Draco turned to Ron with a discreet look. Ron was panting while Hermione only had a disappointed look on her face.
"But it did help you understand the story.. didn't it? You're welcome." Ron rolled his eyes, dusting off his pants while he stood up.
"Now that you're finally caught up, I do hope you won't take a quick turn and betray us." Hermione spoke, removing a small book from her beanbag.
"You wound me, Granger. You know, you should be thankful I didn't file a report on you when you punched me in the face." Draco gaped as he placed a dramatic hand on his chest.
"Don't worry, we trust you.. we're just hoping you won't end up like Pettigrew." Hermione scowled.
"Hermione!" Harry and I said at the same time.
"It's alright, I completely get where you're coming from. You have absolutely nothing to worry about." Draco shook his head with a small smile.
