Chapter 16

A. N. From now on, you'll get a bit of Hyunjin's POV too- which is obviously not being told by Ji Yung. It's just to make the story a bit clearer. I hope I'm not confusing y'all. :'/

It was another morning and today Min Ah was not coming to school because she was going to take care of her cousins coming over, so Ji Yung was basically moody today.

Her eye lids felt heavy as she basically dragged herself to her locker, and another note came into her notice, sticking on her locker again.

“I think you didn't like my note yesterday, I'm really sorry though, but I felt kind of bad to see it torn into pieces. But it's not your fault though. But your hair looks so good when you put it down :")”

—Random guy who is a sucker for you.

She stifled a laugh. Sucker for me? She looked around again but she couldn't guess who it was, but it certainly lifted up her mood.

She was also kind of guilty that he saw the pieces of the note he had put on yesterday. How could she tell him Min Ah was the one who tore it.

“Your hair looks so good when you put it down.”

She thought about it for a second, before smiling and sliding off the rubber band from her hair.

She turned around to see Hyunjin standing there beside her locker, slamming books into his locker with loud noises.

I wonder if he's in a bad mood. Ji Yung wondered and gathered her books for her language class for the first period.

The rest of the day goes by a bit slow. In language class, she catches Hyunjin staring at her again for a fraction of a second but when she looks back at him, he is already looking the other way resulting in her to think if she's hallucinating.

Three days later,

Ji Yung walks to her locker again, early in the morning, upset and moody again because it was three days since she last saw the note. After that, the secret guy had disappeared. She wondered if why Hwang Hyunjin was absent too. But didn't pay much attention to it since it wasn't her first concern right now.

Maybe that person is sick? She thought, referring to the person who used to write her notes.

Min Ah wasn't in school either because she went on a holiday to her grandma's house and was coming back tomorrow.

As she approached her locker, there was a note again, which made her heart feel like it was doing summer saults.

“I'm sorry I couldn't leave notes for three days. But I wonder if you missed me? ;) Anyways, there's a surprise for you. Just open your locker.”

Ji Yung looked at it, confused for a moment and then open her locker and something almost leaped and fell out of it, almost startling her.

She almost jumped at the sudden movement and then looked down. On the ground, lay a big plushie of a panda, and behind her, she managed to catch the attention of a group of walking students.

"Are you okay?" She flinched at the voice that came from beside her. It was Hwang Hyunjin.

She looked at him dumbfounded. Why is he talking to me? I mean......didn't he ignore my existence last time when I apologised to him for bumping into him? She thought.

"Ah, I'm.....okay." she managed to say as he raised his eyebrows and pointed to the plushie on the floor.

"Do you want me to get rid of that?"

Ji Yung's eyes widened as she quickly grabbed it from the floor dusting it off. "NO."

She wrapped one of her hands around the plushie and taking out the books from her locker, struggling a bit but she eventually succeeded anyway leaving the boy standing there while she walked away with the plushie.

Little did she know, the boy she had left behind was more than happy to see the plushie wrapped in her hand so tightly, infact, his stomach was feeling a whole damn zoo. He let out a soft chuckle.

That girl is so unpredictable. He leaned on his locker, smiling widely as the bell rang and interrupted him from his thoughts.

Dang. I have to go.  He thought, snapping out of his thoughts.
