"Are you okay?" Mary Margaret asked when she got out of David's truck.
"Yeah." Emma sighed as her and Neal helped Gold off the ship. "Yeah. We're all right."
"Uh, I drove a ship." Henry smiled.
"Did you, now?" David asked.
"Yeah, my dad showed me how." He smiled proudly and looked at his dad.
"That's me." Neal raised his hand slightly and looked at David.
"Let me guess, we get to go with Ruby." Blakely said.
"Actually, just Henry."
"What?" Blakely and Henry asked in unison.
Emma took Blakely aside. "I don't want to have to ask you to go up against Regina, but if you have magic, we could use it."
"Really?" Blakely asked. A few weeks ago it would have been a question filled with excitement. Now it caused a knot to form in the pit of her stomach.
"Really." Emma confirmed.
"I'll keep him out of the crossfire." Ruby promised when they came back.
"Thank you." Mary Margaret said.
"Don't look so worried. You'll stop Cora. You won't let her get away." Henry said.
Blakely jumped in the bed of the truck. She fiddled with the rings on her fingers all the way to Gold's shop. She'd always wanted to help Emma and the other adults fight evil and win but, she never thought the evil would be her own family. After everything Regina did to try and change, it just made this so much harder.
"Emma, did you find it?" Gold asked when they reached the back of his shop.
"Yeah, there's nothing in it." She held up an empty jar. She shook it and something made a noise from inside. "What the hell?" She put her hand in and felt around in the empty jar. Her fingers wrapped around something and she pulled it out.
"Invisible chalk." Gold told her. "Use it in the front doorway. Draw a line. The rest of you? You might want to prepare for battle."
Battle. Battle was something that happened in movies or books. Not in a pawnshop in the middle of Maine.
There was a low rumbling around the shop and a blur came across the outside of the windows. A protection spell.
Everything in the shop shook as Cora and Regina tried to break Emma's protection spell.
"Stay back here." Emma told Blakely.
She nodded and Neal handed her a sword. "Just in case." He shrugged after Emma gave him a "why would you hand your daughter a sword," kind of look.
"Your magic," Gold said in a weak voice directed at Blakely, "you've seen the future, haven't you?"
"Only a few times." Blakely looked down at her hands. She didn't want to say it out loud. Seeing the future wasn't something she wanted, not after what Gold told her.
