Everyone moved to the front of the room, except Chris and Street. They got together to try and figure out how they could fool the guards into letting them out of the room.
"How they hell are we suppose to get outta here with two Marshalls guarding the doors?" Chris whispered, sounding puzzled
"Both of us asking for bathroom would spike suspicion." Street added
"Exactly."
Street rubbed his jaw with his hand as he thought of a good plan, one in which both officers could leave the room without being followed by the guards... because he knew if they left, one of those two would follow them to make sure they made it to the bathroom.
"I don't know" Chris said in a low tone, frustrated,"Diarrhea each?" she asked skeptically
Street stared straight at her feet, as none of the ideas he got convinced him.
"Stop staring at my ass" she whispered, as she slapped him on the shoulder and giggled, shaking her head slowly.
"I'm not!" he snapped back, even though that wasn't a bad idea after all. Wait! That's it! She'll hate me, but...nothing out of the ordinary anyway! "Chris," he called getting her attention, "follow my lead. Don't say a word. Just smile and giggle."
She frowned at him as he grabbed her arm and both moved to the door. Street stopped, looked back at her, and noticed Hondo was looking at him from the corner of his eye, as he had turned around from the screen and was checking something Tan was showing him in one of the folders. He nodded, and Hondo lowered his gaze to the folder.
Hondo immediately gestured to Tan and the others to gather around the table, in order to not get the guards suspicious. Street waited until all men were in position to knock on the door. Chris moved behind him.
One of the guards, by the name of Michaels loosen the lock from the outside, and Street pulled open the door. He stepped outside as Chris moved like his shadow. When both were out in the hallway, the Marshall let go of his riffle and stuck his hand out.
"Woah! Where do you two think you are going?" he said sternly, as he noticed that both officers made it out.
Out of the corner of her eye, Chris noticed that the other guard was attending the other door, so he couldn't come in to intervene in this situation. She was hoping whatever Street planned worked.
"Hey man! Um...listen" Street began glancing everywhere, almost in a whisper, "We...um..just started going out and...um...yesterday we had a huge night planned -if you catch my drift-Um.." he moved closer to the Marshall and leaned in, turning his back to Chris, so she couldn't hear. "Got a room and everything, coz, you know? Been on a diet for a long time, and uh...you know how it is? When it itches, you gotta scratch, right?" he paused wearing a huge grin from ear to ear, as he winked at the Marshall who was nodding back at him,"I mean, look at her. I gotta hit that, man...and we're here, kinda trapped. Just gotta make sure the boss doesn't know."
The Marshall squinted his eyes as he took a glance at Chris who just stood smiling and giggling.
"C'mon, man, help me out here! Just give me 15 minutes. C'mon, bro." he pleaded between his teeth. He kept grinning as the Marshall thought for a moment, but..he sure was convinced quickly. Seemed the man knew exactly where he was going with his play.
"Alright, there's an empty space right here in the corner of the hall. If my boss catches me I'm dead, so you better make it quick!"
"C'mon, bro, we need some privacy." he took a glance at Chris who kept staring provocatively at Street, "She gets kinda loud...my boss would kill me." both men stared at the woman, and thought for a moment. "15 minutes, down the hall. C'mon bro, a man got needs!" Street said as he held the front side of his pants.
