Palutena watched as the kids told stories around the campfire. Palutena smiled as her champion raised his hand to tell a ghost story. Viridi walked into the Throne Room.
"So, they're out camping?" asked the Goddess of Nature.
Palutena nodded, "Pit's about to tell a ghost story."
Viridi smiled and walked up next to Palutena.
"This is going to be good."

Pit looked around the campsite with half-open eyes.
"Once upon a time...many years ago....there lived a man.....A delivery man....he was always happy...and everyone loved him.
He always delivered the mail with a smile on his face, you couldn't be sad with this man around....Everyone always looked forward to seeing what mail they had, and of course, him. It was his pride and joy to get to know everyone in the neighborhood, and deliver their packages.
One day, the man was on his rounds, and he saw one of the houses on his route. The house was on fire. The man jumped out of his mail truck and darted towards the burning house and heard a child-like scream inside. He didn't even stop to think, he knew what he had to do. He ran inside, ignoring the flames that threatened to burn his skin. He ran through the the house, following the scream. He found the child. The man busted through the door of her bedroom, the child was standing on the bed, caved in with flames, she still screamed. The man grabbed the child, ignoring the way she screamed and flailed around. He ran out of the house, the child in his arms.
As soon as they got outside, he finally could make out what the little girl was saying, she was yelling at him that her dog was still in the house, he ran back in, but, unfortunately it was too late.
The child would never forgive that man. And in later years, she would hang herself with grief.
The man felt terrible. He stayed in his house, not delivering the mail or the packages. The people missed his smiling face. The man never seemed to smile anymore, he could never feel anything anymore. He only felt the bitterness of misery, and what it has to offer."
Pit got up from his seat and walked around the site, making the students uncomfortable.
"He thought, over the years, 'Why is it whenever I try to help people, they only get worse? Why was I ever meant to smile? Why was I ever meant to live?'
Then...one day...the man found himself smiling again. He didn't know why, he felt so empty. Why was he smiling? He didn't know, but he went on with his days and didn't notice that day by day, his smile would get bigger.
People would stare at him, like he was crazy...His eyes got darker, and his smile got bigger.
He looked into the mirror and became afraid. He looked like a mad-man. He wanted it to stop.
He ran throughout his house, trying to find his material.
He finally found it: a needle and a thread.
He wanted to stop smiling, it started to hurt after a while.
So, he got a crazy thought, 'What if I force myself to stop smiling?' He chuckled, and picked up the needle and thread, put it to his lips, and dug in the needle into his flesh.
Again and again, he did this. Not caring where he dug them in. As long as he stopped his smiling, he would be happy.
Once he was done, he looked into the mirror, expecting to be happy with his work. He saw the opposite. His smile was even bigger. His teeth were sharp. He saw his eyes disappear and only the whites reman.
