This is a work of fan fiction using characters from the popular show cook with comali 2. The description of incidents in this story is fictional and entirely unrelated to the persons after whom the characters are named. The story is only an imaginary plot with my take on ashaangi. 24It was almost midnight. The sky was lit up by the moon and a blanket of stars that stretched to infinity. The street was almost pin drop silent except for the occasional barking of dogs and the screechy wheels of his car that broke the tranquility every time he slammed on the break.
"In 500 meters take the next left to reach the main road" The voice from the GPS was repeating as if it was determined to take him home safe. But his heart has brought him to where he belongs. To his home. To her.
Ashwin shut the GPS and tossed his phone to the seat beside him. His eyes looked up to the window of her room. His vision was already blurry and now it was clouded with some tears of bittersweet memories at that very place.
Thankfully the street was empty and no one noticed him walk out of his car and clumsily perch upon the bonnet of his car.
He leaned back on the windshield and took out his wallet from his pocket. A shiny platinum band that fit his finger like a glove shone under the street light. He held it between his index and thumb finger and traced the letters engraved on the inside of the ring. He gently stroked it as though a genie would come out of it to his rescue, saving him from the mess that he was in.
Would she forgive him? Will he ever get a chance to talk to her again? Or will he ever get to at least see her again? So many unanswered questions and she was the only answer to everything.
"Sivaangi..." He called out her name softly with a sigh escaping his lips. He shut his eyes tight holding his tears back and swallowed hard those memories of that night 3 years back and those times after they stopped talking when he used to drive up to her house just to catch a glimpse of her if he was lucky enough.
He has no reason to be there at that time of the night. If anyone spotted him that too in the condition he was in, he was going to be the talk of the town the next day.
He propped his folded arm under his head and placed his fisted palm over his chest holding the ring tight.
"Ashwin!" A known voice broke his chain of thoughts. It took a few seconds for him to recognise and react.
"Heii! Vinu!" Ashwin jumped back on his feet, excited like a kid contrasting his emotions just a minute back seeing Vinayak after years. He hugged him tight and muffled into his ear, probably how he missed him which Vinayak dint even understand.
Ashwin peeled away from him and looked at his face in adoration and his eyes glistened with tears of joy. He hooked his arm around Vinayak's neck and kissed his cheek, holding his chin.
"Epdi ra irukaaaa?"
"Ayee! Yeyy! Shaie! Cha! Enna mams panra?!" Vinayak slid out of his hold rubbing his cheek with his sleeves.
