Someone new arrived today.
This one seemed different.
Most people looked attentive and scared on the first day.
He looked....blank. Emotionless. Unreadable
Maybe this wasn't a new process for him? Maybe he had already been through this.
The nurse pushed his wheelchair forward as I got a full view of him.
His hair was jet black, and fell onto his forehead, almost covering his eyes.
His eyes.
Doe shaped, as black as the strands that fell on them. They held a certain void, that was looking to be filled.
His nose was round, it brought a cutesy look to him in addition to his eyes.
Plump lips moved as his tongue darted out to wet them, teeth biting on them showing a tiny mole right under his bottom slightly bigger lip while a Ali zing the room.
He was beautiful.
The nurse pushed his wheelchair forward, walking towards my bed. Was he coming here? Why would he though? She halted at the bed next to mine. It was vacant, seeing as the 13 year old girl who usually slept that had closed her eyes two days again, with the intent of never opening them again.
The nurse then lifted his upper body, helping him onto the bed. He used his arms to stabilise his upper body. His legs however, didn't seem to move on their own. Perhaps he was paralysed there? Or maybe some disease?
I hadn't realised I was staring until the next moment , when I saw a pair of black orbs staring back. I quickly looked away, feeling the blood rush to my face at the embarrassment of being caught. As I turned in the opposite direction, laying down as if I was sleeping, I could feel a sharp gaze on my back but didn't dare turn around. Yawning for real this time, I pulled the covers up and snuggled into the bed.
For the first time in months, I fell asleep thinking not about my own issues, for my mind was preoccupied with a pair of certain doe eyes.
