Chapter #16 Mild adjustments to the plan

(3rd Pov)

(PGR world)

???:... Alpha?

Alpha:... I told you that it was okay to call me by my real name when we're alone, Luna. 

The younger girl turned to Alpha with wide eyes before narrowing them in suspicion. 

Luna: Is it really you?

Alpha stared before smiling slightly, which surprised Luna but also increased her suspicion. She's never seen her smiled like that, not since they were kids. 

Alpha: When you were five, you were really scared of fireflies, you thought they were stars that fell from the sky. 

...

Luna: Uh...!

Her face gained a flushed red color from embarrassment. That was a secret meant to be taken to the grave! Only two people should know that!

Luna: Lucia. 

Alpha didn't show it, but she felt a slight twinge of cringe from being called that. She was fine if it was just Luna, but after her recent adventure... Luna rushed over to her older sister and jumped at her, wrapping her arms around her shoulders to hug her tightly. 

Luna: Lucia! 

Alpha felt her sister tremble slightly against her body. She hugged back just as tight. She brought a hand up and stroked Luna's hair. 

Alpha: It's good to see you again sis. 

Luna:... 'Sis'?

She pulls back to show Alpha her surprised look. She tilts her head with a raised brow and smile.

Luna: That's a first. 

Her face then showed concerned. 

Luna: What happened? Where did you go? Why haven't you contacted us? Why haven't you contacted me?

Alpha stared into her sisters eyes with hesitance. Luna narrowed her eyes dangerously. 

Luna: Did the human do something to you?

Alpha: Not exactly... I mean yes, but not in the way you think. 

Luna: What do you mean?

Alpha:... Let's sit down first. 

They part and walk over to a long piece of rubble and sat down. For the next hour, Alpha explained everything that happened to her. Throughout the explanation and at the end of it, Luna had been staring at her sister, judging for herself if all she said is true. 

Luna: You were brought to another world?

Alpha: Yes.

Luna: And this... 'Y/n' is capable of dimensional travel?

Alpha: Yes. 

Luna:... This is... quite unsettling...

Alpha: I know, I was shocked too to hear our whole world is a game...

Luna glared into the sky. 

Luna: Humans... they'll do anything for entertainment...

Alpha:... We don't have to be apart of it though... 

Luna: Huh?

Alpha was facing forward while looking at Luna from the corner of her eye. She looked forward and breathed. 

Alpha: We both know how disgusting humans can be... however, we can't say everyone single one is the same...

Luna sighed.
