Chapter #17 Preparing for a Party

(3rd Pov)

(Y/n's world)

After stepping through the portal and closing it, Y/n turns to Blake with a curious look. He was specifically looking at her head, where her bow remained. 

Y/n: How do you feel?

Blake: Fine? Why do you ask?

Y/n: I know Ruby keeps her aura and semblance when she passes through, but I don't know if other traits would stay...

She and Ruby rose a brow. 

Ruby: What does that mean?

Y/n:... Could you show me your ears, to check if there still there?

Blake blinked at his request. Instead of showing them, she tried to move them. To Y/n's relief, the bow was twitching repeatedly. He nods and claps his hands together. 

Y/n: Great! Now, since you still in your uniforms, go get changed into something more casual, we'll be going out soon. 

Ruby: Right! The supplies! Come on Blake I'll show you around!

Y/n: Wait, heads up. Alpha's sister is here along with a friend. If you see Lucia, she should tell you about her. 

Ruby: Okay, see you soon. 

She walks out of the garage with Blake following closely behind. Once they left, Y/n started up the battery again and made another portal. He waited for it to clear and show the Night Raid base living room before walking through.

(Akame ga kill world)

Stepping into the room, Y/n saw no one present. Instead of wondering around the base to look for someone, he chose to holler.

Y/n: Hey! Anyone here?

He stood in place for a moment before he heard footsteps from down the hall. He turned to the opening to see Najenda in a black tank top and pants with a towel slung over her shoulder. She rose a brow at him.

Najenda: Y/n?

Y/n: Hey Najenda. I wasn't interrupting you was I?

Najenda: Uh, no. I was just doing some exercise.

She puts her weight on one leg and puts her mechanical hand on her hip.

Najenda: What are you doing here?

Y/n: I came to pick up Akame, has she told you about the plan?

She stared at him before remembering what he was talking about. She nodded.

Najenda: Yes, so your here to pick her up?

Y/n: Yeah, is that okay with you?

Najenda: Your fine. 

Y/n: Where's Akame?

Najenda: Out training in the field. She's been working hard to be at her peak performance again. 

Y/n: I see...

Najenda: Come, I'll show you where she is. 

Y/n nods, but looks at the portal worriedly. 

Y/n: Could someone watch the portal though? I don't want anyone wandering through. 

Najenda raises a brow before thinking. Just then, Lubbock comes walking into the living room. 

Lubbock: Hey Najenda- Oh! Hey Y/n. 

Y/n: Hey Lubbock. Good to see you.

Lubbock: Ditto.
