He failed. Tommy had fucking failed his last chance to escape.
He thought everything was set out so perfectly: he memorized the layout, he learned Techno and Dreams schedule, he even forced himself to have civil conversation with those bloodsuckers to possibly learn some weaknesses.
But despite all those things, it didn't work.
He had woke up the morning before the celebration and grabbed Henry, he needed his emotional support cow.
As Tommy sat back down on his bed he went over the plan with himself once again.
There was a window on the second floor that was big enough for Tommy to get out of and the fall was short enough, with the help of a bush, to not break every bone in his body.
There was an issue however; the window was locked. Tommy would need to steal the key out of Techno and Dream's room without them noticing.
From Tommy's grade A stalking, he knew that the best time for this would be right after lunch. Techno and Dream always went there after eating and luckily for Tommy, that room was far enough away for him to grab the key without anyone hearing a thing.
After that Tommy could simply run upstairs, open the window, jump out, and run to the nearest human civilization possible.
To Tommy the plan seemed easy enough but he knew it most likely wouldn't go that smoothly, so, he made sure to grab some...materials for any worst case scenarios. Tommy blamed them for leaving their knives in such open places and having too many to notice if one, or three, go missing.
As the sound of a grandfather clock filled the room, Tommy stood up. It was 12 o'clock, he needed to join his "fathers" for lunchtime.
He made his way down the stairs, pushing back any worried or anxious thoughts that came to his brain. It wasn't long before he was met with the sight of two familiar faces and food.
(For only drinking blood, these guys actually made surprisingly good food)
Tommy walked over to his seat and sat down. He knew the normally silence during the meal would be broken today, apparently Techno needed to have a conversation with him about how this whole thing would go down.
And as Tommy picked up his sandwich, Techno began to speak. "So, you already know that your celebration and turning is today."
Tommy nodded in agreement.
"However you need to be prepared for what's going to come after the turning." Tommy didn't like Techno's tone of voice, "We haven't been very touchy with you since you came here, for specific reasons too, but that will change after you've been turned."
Tommy froze, he really didn't like where this conversation was going. To say Tommy didn't like the idea of Techno or Dream touching him in any way, be it hugs or hitting, was a huge understatement.
"What do you mean?" He eventually got the courage to ask.
"Well, there's a lot of love and care the needs to go into a new fledgling so the turning goes exactly how it should. Your brain will have a need for us once we turn you and ours will have a need to protect you so that is exactly what we'll do." Techno explained.
"It will be better for everyone if you're just safe in our arms." Dream added on, there seemed to be something dark laced within his voice.
It made Tommy shiver.
"Is there anything else I should know?" Tommy asked, he hoped they would say no.
"Yes," of course there was, "you'll have to start drinking blood once we turn you. Specifically our blood for the first year and then we'll ween you into more of a variety." Tommy hated Techno's words. Everything that came out was another thing he didn't wanna hear.
