So Grey had ice powers. I don't know why but it's not what I was expecting. I guess he is blonde like Elsa so it makes sense? Though Elsa's hair is more of a grey blonde and Grey's is just regular blonde. Now the even stranger thing is Grey and I got along unusually well. He made me laugh so hard that I almost snorted the water I was drinking out of my nose. Thankfully I didn't have to third wheel like I thought I would.
We had just finished eating and we were hanging out at Grey's house. And no it isn't like Elsa's ice palace. It had very bright colors and was messy. Even though he could just snap his fingers to clean the mess up, he didn't because according to him it feels homier? I have no idea what he meant by that.
His room, which is where we currently were, was the only room in the house that was just plain white. There were posters and tapestries all over the walls though. It was nothing like Milo's home.
Milo's home was filled with plants, which made me thankful that bugs didn't exist in heaven. And everything besides the walls of the house was wood.
"Aurora doesn't like my house, I can tell," Grey says pulling me out of my thoughts.
Had my face given it away?
I plaster an offended look on my face. "What? No, I like your house." I say but I can tell he's not buying it. "I just wouldn't call it the best house ever."
Grey laughs. "In simpler terms, you hate it."
Milo laughs at that too and I roll my eyes at both of them biting back a laugh of my own.
"So do you like it here?" Grey asks tossing a grape into his mouth.
I tilt my head. "I mean yeah, I just don't think I'm used to all this yet, you know?"
Milo nods vigorously. "Trust me I completely understand. When I first got here all I wanted to do was go back."
I tread carefully into what I'm about to ask not knowing if it was personal or not. In my time here Milo had not ever mentioned when he got here or how he died and I was scared to ask.
"When did you get here?" I ask while searching for any uncomfortable signs on his face.
Milo doesn't seem bothered by my question at all. In fact, he immediately responds. "Probably like 4 years ago?" He says it more like a question as if he doesn't remember clearly.
"You died at 18, 4 years ago?" I ask while calculating how old he is now.
He laughs lightly. "No, I'm 18 now. I died when I was 14." He takes in the surprised expression on my face and says, "I know, tragic." Though his expression was anything but sad.
"How did you-"
"Cancer." Milo interrupts already knowing what I was going to ask.
The corners of my lips turn down. Cancer is a hard thing to go through. "I'm so sorry."
"It's alright I'm over it." He shrugs. "Cancer is a real bitch though."
I feel bad for Milo. He died so much younger than I did. He's been up here for 4 years now. Does he not miss anyone down there?
"Yea fuck cancer," Grey says while eating a grape. When he finishes chewing he cocks his head over to me. "What about you? How'd you end up here?"
I give a slight shrug. "I drowned."
He almost laughs while the long another grape into his mouth. "Oh shit, that must've sucked. I died in my sleep like a year ago."
"How old were you?" I ask.
