"Ok ok I got one," Grey starts, "would you rather never orgasm or never find true love?"
I let out a snort at the question.
Grey laughs. "I'm serious, answer!" He cocks his head at Milo. "Milo you first."
Milo turns over from laying on his back and rests his chin on his palm. "Umm, I'd never cum."
"Seriously?" I asked furrowing my eyebrows.
I was lying down on the huge towel on the sand staring up at the sky. It was huge so we all fit on it and we had snapped some food after being hungry from playing in the water. The sun was almost setting and we were all just talking. I think Grey is high but he never offered anything to the rest of us so I didn't say anything about it.
"I would choose the same as Milo." Grey agrees.
I think it over in my head. It was a lose-lose situation.
I sit up, tired from lying on my back, and look over at River to see if he was going to answer.
Grey was sitting crisscrossed while River was sitting with his knees bent up and his forearms resting on them.
He catches my gaze and starts to speak. "God, I always have to answer the weirdest shit when I'm with you, Grey," He says, making Grey chuckle.
"Answer," I say when he takes too long.
His eyes land back on me. "I need more time to think. You go."
I shrug. "It's easy, I'd rather never find true love."
Milo looks the most confused. "What why?"
"Well, would he even be my true love if he couldn't make me cum?"
River chuckles. "She has a point."
"So what would you choose then?" Grey asks River.
"I'd choose to never find true love."
Greg rolls his eyes. "God, who broke your hearts?"
Milo dramatically sighs and lays down on his back again. "Do you guys believe in true love?"
"Yeah." Grey is the only one who answers.
Milo grows impatient, "Well?"
"No." River finally answers.
I look over at him not surprised. What else would I have expected from a guy like River? I couldn't imagine River being romantic to anyone and with all those secrets he's keeping, a relationship would be the last thing he needs.
I ponder over a question before coming to my answer. "I don't know."
Grey scrunches his face. "What? What do you mean?"
"I just don't know. I would have to be in love with someone deeply to believe in it and maybe one day I could so I don't know."
Everyone silent for a while considering if my answer really counts.
"Makes sense," Grey eventually says.
But Milo was curious, "You've never been in love? You lived longer than any of us and you haven't had boyfriends?"
"I never said I didn't have any boyfriends." I laugh and notice River's unmoving stare. "I just wasn't in love with any of them."
