Cécile's P.O.V.
I woke up at 5 the next morning. Today is the first day of classes! I felt myself wake up quickly, excited at the thought.
I hopped out of my sleeping bag, and headed for my closet. Thankfully Alex hadn't gotten there yet, so all my stuff was in it. I grabbed a robe, skirt, and blouse and walked into the bathroom to change.
When I walked out, my makeup was done and so was my hair. I had to stick to plain old eyeliner and mascara for makeup because I had none that would match the ugly robe. My hair was up in a messy bun, and I had a piece of hair braided off to the side, disappearing into it.
I walked back to the closet, deciding to grab a pair of flats. They were black and had bows on them.
I looked at the clock to see that it was 6 now. I decided I' d be nice, so I went over and shook Alex lightly. She blinked at me, bleary eyed. "It's 6:00," I told her "thought I'd wake you up." She nodded at me and rolled back over. I hoped that she didn't go back to sleep. She may be intruding my living space, but I don't want her to be late for our first day.
I still had an hour before I had to meet Cody in the common room, so I grabbed my book. I went down to the common room, curled up in a ball, and started reading.
A little while later, I felt a tap on my shoulder. I looked up from Jace and Clary's midnight picnic to see Cody grinning at me. "Morning," I said to him.
"Morning," he said back. "You ready to go?" I nodded at him, putting my book mark in, and taking my book with us down to the Great Hall.
Once we got there, we sat down in the same place we sat yesterday, and started eating. Brad seemed to be missing again. I wonder what happened...
Once Cody and I finished, we went back downstairs to the common room and grabbed our books.
We went back to the Great Hall to see Professor Sprout. She was our head of house, so we had to get our schedules from her.
"Hi, Professor," Cody said politely. She smiled at him, and he gestured to me, "this is Cécile, the new fifth year student."
I smiled at her, "hello."
"Hello dear," she said back. "You two are here for your schedules I presume?" Cody and I nodded at her, and she looked through her stack of schedules, finding both of ours and handing them to us.
We thanked her and walked off. We were lucky too, because as soon as we walked away, the warning bell rang and there was a sudden hoard of students surrounding her.
I looked back, and quickly walked away, as to avoid being trampled. "I feel a little sorry for her, actually," I told Cody, referring to the giant herd of people.
"Yeah, I kind of do too," he said, chuckling lightly.
I grabbed his schedule out of his hands, laughing at him when he stared at me, opening and closing his mouth like a fish. Apparently, he wasn't expecting that.
I snapped his mouth shut, "close your mouth hon, you'll catch flies," I teased him.
He stuck his tongue out at me. I stuck mine out back at him. We laughed and I looked at the two schedules I now had in my hands.
"We have charms, potions, DADA, and Herbology together," I said to him.
He nodded and tried (and failed) to take his schedule back from me the same way I took it in the first place. I laughed at him. "You just aren't as ninja as I am," I said to him.
"What's a ninja?" He asked me.
"You're a pureblood, aren't you?"
"Yeah.""A ninja is a person who usually dresses in all black. They're super fast, sneaky, and silent. And they're vicious. They take people down swiftly and silently."
