As planned, you were on your way to find Zixin during lunch. His homeroom was a tad bit far from yours so you had to rush there.

But when you arrived, you wished that you had taken your time. You noticed that Xiao was already there and the two were talking. You approached them slowly.

"Zixin," Xiao called out to him. Zixin looked sideways at Xiao as he walked out of his homeroom. "Oh. Xiao."

Xiao crossed him arms, glaring at him. Silence followed as he was finding the right words to say.

You, on the other hand, hesitated to approach them any further. You feared what Xiao's reaction would be if you did. But nonetheless, you took a deep breath and went for it.

You had to only take a few steps forward for Xiao to notice you. And when he did, you saw see his eyes widen a bit as his body tensed up. You felt the entire atmosphere grow cold the moment he saw you.

"I— need to talk to you," you spoke, glancing at Zixin who only raised a brow at you. "And you are?"

"Y/n," you replied briefly. His eyes widened after hearing your name. "You're the driver?" he said, a bit surprised. You simply nodded in response.

Xiao averted his eyes from you. "I'll come back later then," he said while turning around to leave.

But you immediately stopped him. "Wait no— if you need to talk to him, you can go first," you said while avoiding eye contact.
