I was more on guard than before,  I had left for yet another war. This time my aunt Lara pried at me because I seemed "distressed".

"Eliza dear, talk to me. Something is clearly bothering you and pulling from your normal focus" She begged me, I didn't really budge at first until she said something that completely broke me.

"Did Amaya hurt you?" the way she asked me, it sounded as if she already knew the answer.

"Yes..I don't want to talk about it." I told her then walked away, of course she followed me, I knew she would. I walked away on purpose, to give us a fair amount of distances from the other soldiers. I knew she wouldn't leave me be.

"Eliza, how did she hurt you?" She asked a bit wary

"She.." I hesitated majorly "She, hit me over and over again." I told her, I cleared my throat knowing it cracked slightly.

"That isn't like a princess, unless you're a Malengala" She said

"Wait, what do you know about that?" I asked

"they're evil and abusive the only pure one is their son that likes Jade." She told me

I couldn't believe my ears, Amaya, she's not in love with me, did she just want the power? I was still too young so i thought it was fake and I thought I could change her..
