Charlie POV

Darcy and Elle insisted on taking me out today stating that my wardrobe was "too predictable" and that I only had two outfits.

They aren't technically wrong but still, ouch, my ego.

I walk sandwiched between to two as they pick out what seems like 100s of choices from shirts to shorts to... blazers?

We continue wandering but I somehow get separated from the others and end up in the more feminine section of the store.

My fingers run over the delicate frills on the sleeves and my eyes admire the lacework, but one thing in particular catches my eye.

I stop dead in front of a knee length black and white plaid skirt. This is definitely way out of my comfort zone but its just so, its just so pretty.

I fiddle with the hem of it when I hear a gasp behind me.

"Oh my god Charlie it's perfect" Elle whispers dreamily from behind me.

"Oh yeah Nick would be drooling over you in that" Darcy states rather bluntly.

I turn around and pull the sleeves of my sweater down into the palms of my hands, a nervous habit.

"Its just" I breathe out "I've never worn anything like it."

"There's no time like the present" Darcy says.

"You'll look hot, trust me." Elle chimes in.

"You really think?"

"Yes!"

I pull at the hem of my skirt, it feels weird, but Elle was right;

I look hot.

The three of us are on our way to the cinema for a Paris gang movie night.

I'm nervous for everyone's reaction, especially Nick's.

We arrive at the theatre to see everyone else standing around.

I watch their faces as they take in my outfit and Darcy and Elle snicker behind me.

"Damn ok Charlie, get it" says Tara, the first one to break the silence.

"Maybe I'm gay" says Tao, earning a slap over the head from Elle.

Nick doesn't say anything, his eyes just stay fixed on my face looking as if he is about to pass out and he grabs for my wrist and pulls me inside, the others follow behind.

We all walk to our cinema and Nick leans into my ear, "Christ Charlie, you're gorgeous"

I feel as blush creeping up my neck as Nick leaves a tender kiss where my jaw meets my neck.

We all get settled in and Nick never stops touching me, there is at least one point of contact between us the whole night. My ears are filled with 'You're so pretty baby' and 'You should wear skirts more often' and other sweet nothings.

I try and stay focused on the movie but every so often I feel the warmth of Nick's lips on my cheek or neck.

I feel him shuffle closer and he puts the arm rest dividing our seats up and suddenly pulls me onto his lap. I yelp in surprise, but he simply laughs from behind me, and we continue watching the movie with me happily in his lap.
