I rest along the castle wall chatting with builder, who is making sure his traps are working. He had taken quite a few with him when leaving, so he was just getting things sorted out.
"Are you done yet" I say as I watch him place the last sizz snare. "No I still need to get some freeze traps down, we have no clue what we're up against. We need to be fully prepared" he turns to me with smile.
I stare at him "traps won't do everything you know that" he laughs "I know, I know but still these traps will make them easier to defeat" I smile, I guess he is right. The traps aren't the do all and end all of the battle, but it will make a start.
Once he's finished he walks back to me "ok well now that that's in order let's wait" he says leaning on the wall next to me with a sigh. He looks towards me "you got your hammer" he says as he grabs his sword "obviously when do I not have it" I say looking towards him confused "I know I was just making sure" he says smiling at me.
Our chat is interrupted by a small group of skeletons heading straight for the castle. "Is that it the soldiers can defeat just that" I say when I spot them "this is probably just the first wave of monsters" builder tells me as he waits for them to cross past the traps. Once they do we both run in and defeat them with ease
"Even if it is the first wave that just felt way to easy" I say putting my hammer over my shoulders. Builder turns to me "well thats kinda the point the first wave would be easy" he laughs.
Not long after another wave comes this time with some trolls "told you" builder blurted out, builder and I run after the mob of monsters. Though it wasn't as easy this time, we got through them"ok well doesn't seem like the leader was in that wave, so I guess we're not done yet" I say as we get back to the castle wall
"Nope not yet" builder replies "but I'd guess the next will be the last wave, which means it will most likely be hard so get ready" he finishes looking towards me. I smile "then it will be fun, c'mon let's destroy these monsters" I say
