And he had just entered his first true challenge since he was brought here...
Having the blessing and curse of being revived here as a baby, Kirito had the opportunity to be taught legends and myths of champions and heroes, often of the fallen variety.
One of those legends was of the tragedy of the Banshee Queen, and how she was a fabled elven warrior and defender of her land until a king, influenced by a demon sealed within a sword, corrupted her soul to no return and forced her to serve him. And when that leashed was severed with that king's death, she decided to pick up from where she left up, and managed to crush the alliance at the sacrifice of herself and her allies...
Or at least, that was what he recalled, because Kirito is pretty convinced that this is the very woman he thought long dead...
