The Fox's Obsession - Yandere Naruto x Hinata

CHAPTER III - THE REALIZATION

[Hidden Leaf Village Hospital - Surgery Floor]

"Her vitals are dropping fast!"

"Her organs and chakra system are severely damaged! Someone get a Healer in here!"

"She's running short on blood! The file says she's Type A, someone get me some blood bags, now!"

Those were the thoughts that were going through Naruto's mind as he sat in the chair outside the large white doors of the surgery room of Konohagakure Hospital, his blue eyes flooded with unshed tears as he looked to the ground, his hands locked together with his elbows resting on his thighs while his right leg bounced like crazy; the thoughts circled around his mind, playing on repeat and all the could do was look at the windows of the large doors, wanting to look inside to see her face but he was too scared to look inside to see her flatline.

'She could die.' He thought as he looked at the ground again before closing his eyes, 'She could die because I wasn't fast enough to get her here.' He grunted in mental pain as he locked his teeth, 'Why, Hinata-chan? Why did you push me out of the way? Why did you take the blow for me?'

"You Are Really Stupid, Aren't You, Boy?" 

Naruto opened his eyes again and he was no longer in the hallway he was sitting in - he now stood in ankle-deep water in a bricked room, standing before the large cage that held the strongest of the Tailed Beasts - The Nine-Tailed Fox. The Fox glared down at Naruto with narrowed red eyes and Naruto returned the gesture in kind.

"What do you want, stupid fox? I don't have time to deal with your bullcrap right now." Naruto snared at the fox, who just rolled his eyes before looking back at Naruto.

"But It's Clear That You Have Time To Ask Yourself Stupid Questions When The Answers To Those Questions Are Right In Your Face." The Fox said, making Naruto raise his eyebrow at the large red creature.

"Answers right in my face? What the hell are you talking about, Fox?" Naruto asked.

"Haven't You Noticed How That Girl Acts Around You? How Fast She Was Willing To Throw Her Life Away For You Without Hesitation? Don't You See That She Cares For You More Than The Others In Your Company?" The Nine-Tailed Fox asked Naruto, who looked slightly wide-eyed as he looked to the ground, his wavy reflection in the water as he thought back in the past about his interactions with Hinata.

He remembered when she walked up to him to give him healing salve for his wounds.

He remembered how nervous she got around him and how she smiled whenever he talked to her or at least tried to talk to her; she was rather red and looked away from him most of the time.

"I... She does act differently around me than the others, but I don't know why." Naruto said as he looked at the fox, who exhaled and gestured with his hand.

"It's Because That She Holds You In Higher Regard Than All Your Other Friends, Kit; That Hyuga Girl Loves You." The Kyuubi said, making Naruto look wide-eyed at his words.

"Hinata-chan...loves me?" Naruto questioned.

"Yes, It's Been Rather Clear To Me - Her Heartbeat Quickens Whenever You're Around Her, Her Face Gets Red Because She Is Blushing From Affection, She Does All These Things For You Because She Loves You And Wants Nothing But To Be With You And Make Sure That You Are Happy. Hinata Hyuga Loves You, Naruto Uzumaki, And Anyone With Eyes Could See That." The Kyuubi said as he placed his giant paw down and watched Naruto to see his reaction.

Naruto looked at the ground as he thought about everything the Nine-Tailed Fox said and everything made sense -everything that Hinata had done for him, all the things she said to him, and now, throwing her life away to make sure that he survived the mission... She loved him and he never saw her because he was so consumed with Sakura and being better than Sasuke to impress her.

"What have I done?" Naruto closed his eyes as an icy pain took a hold of his heart, causing him to grasp his jacket over his heart.

"You Were So Consumed With The Pink-Haired Girl And The Raven-Haired Boy That You Never Noticed The One That Wanted To Be By Your Side, But That Doesn't Mean That It's Too Late, Naruto." The Kyuubi said, making Naruto look into his red eyes.

"What do you mean, it's not too late?" Naruto asked.

"While You Were Running With The Girl To Get Her Here, I Placed Some Of My Chakra Inside Of Her, She Will Make A Full Recovery But It Shall Take Time. You Need To Open Your Eyes & Take The Heiress As Your Own - As Your One True Mate. Forget About The Pink-Haired Girl And Focus On The One Who Loves You. Watch Over Her. Protect Her. So That The World Will Never Take Away The One Thing That Belongs To You." The Kyuubi said as he looked down at Naruto with glowing red eyes.

Naruto's blue eyes locked with the Fox's Red Eyes and he saw it - he saw Hinata standing beside him, being there for him. He saw his arms wrapped around her in affection. He saw everything that he wanted with Sakura but with the one who really loved him and would never hurt him.

"She loves me...and I... I..." Naruto stuttered out as he was pulled away from the Nine-Tailed Fox's Cage and back into the waking world by the sound of the large doors opening. He opened his eyes - he was back in the hallway and the doors of the surgery room were open. He watched as 4 doctors walked out of the room with Hinata on a rolling bed with an oxygen mask over her face, she was breathing, alive; Naruto looked down at Hinata's face as the doctors passed him with the weakened heiress down the hallway. There was a 5th Doctor coming out of the room with a chart, Naruto walked over to him, causing him to look at the blue eyes of the Uzumaki.

"Can I help you with something, Mr. Uzumaki?" The doctor asked.

"How is she doing? Is she going to be okay?" Naruto asked with a slight tremble in his voice.

"Ms. Hinata was struck in the chest with an S-Class Jutsu and it coursed throughout her system and disrupted her chakra flow but she will make a full recovery after a while. We're moving her to a room so that she can get the proper rest. Now, excuse me." The Doctor walked past Naruto and followed the other doctors, making Naruto look down the hall as he stood there all alone, he looked to the ground as he thought about Hinata's Smiling Face.

His heart quickened its pace.

He felt his face get warmer as he continued to think about Hinata's giggle.

He grasped the jacket around his heart and he smiled as she looked down the hall.

"Hinata-chan... You love me and I am going to make you mine." He promised as he slowly followed the doctors down the hallway to see what room his Hyuga Princess was going to be placed in.
