The Oni and the Dragon

The Bounty drops down to a sea full of tall rocks with seagulls squawking in the air.

"Is this...where we will be living?" Harumi asks, looking around.

"Just until we know you two are safe." Lloyd responds, looking over at me. I was just sketching random things in a notebook. Doodles of the ninja, candy, animals, and so on.

"Don't you have a headquarters?" Harumi questions, looking down. What's with all the questions, sis-?

"It's too in the open." Lloyd explains, putting a hand on Harumi's arm. "The Sons of Garmadon will be looking for you and Y/N. We'll need to keep moving."

Lloyd gestures for me to follow him so we go up to the others.

"We got a scroll when the fake Mask of Deception was burned. Should we read it?" Nya holds up a rolled up parchment.

Lloyd nods and everyone gathers around Nya as she opens the scroll she got when the fake Mask of Deception was burned. Her eyes move around the page, reading meticulously what's on it.

Nya suddenly gasps. "It says...Y/N's the Master of Spirits?!"

"Huh??" I take the piece of paper.

To the ninja and Princess Y/N :

Hello. If you're reading this, the Mask of Deception was probably destroyed. At least the fake one. When the royal family adopted Y/N, the Emperor and Empress got a letter from the orphanage that was written by Y/N's biological parents.

It formally said that Y/N was the Master of Spirits. Her parents told us not to tell her until she was 17. If she is already that age when you're reading this, Y/N, you must train with the ninja. I still do not trust them, but it's our only choice.

Princess Harumi, if you are with Y/N or whoever is reading this right now, you unfortunately have no secret powers but stay with Y/N. You aren't the same blood, but you still will be sisters forever.

"H-Hutchins wrote this?" I stare at the paper while the others read it as well.

"I guess you're one of us now." Kai smiles. "Congratulations, new ninja."

"We'll help you train later." Lloyd slips the paper out of my hands and rolls it. He places it on a nearby table.

"Um..so, Harumi, looks like we're gonna be...roomies for a while." Cole says. I facepalm and shake my head. "And you too, Y/N."

"You all have been so gracious to take us in since our palace was..." Harumi exhales. "...taken away. And—"

"You two are safe with us." Jay smiles and crosses his arms.

"That assumption is not entirely justified, Jay." Zane points out. "We know very little about the Sons of Garmadon's full capabilities."

Kai just makes it worse. "We know nothing about them. Period."

"We do know they're after the three Oni Masks." Nya turns on the screen and shows the two Oni Masks the Sons of Garmadon have. "Unfortunately, they already have two of them."

"Pixal scanned everywhere for the third mask, but it came up empty. It's as if it...never existed." Zane says.

"Then we need to focus on who's giving the orders." Lloyd announces. "A group this organized must have a leader."

Harumi looks at some kind of blue underwear on the machine and leans away from it.

"Maybe someone from our past?" Jay suggests.
