Dead Man's Squall

Zane gets up, staring at Mr. E. I sit quietly behind Zane, staring at my bloody arm.

"Are you the Quiet One?" Zane asks again. Mr. E stretches his neck. "Are you the Quiet One?!"

Mr. E starts running to Zane. Zane shoots arrows at Mr. E, but he just shoots them away. I was able to dodge as Mr. E pushed Zane back. Mr. E spins Zane around and flings him near the edge of the cliff.

Zane drops his bow and arrow, getting up. "Who are you?"

Zane, I thought you were smart. He's obviously not gonna respond if he doesn't talk.

Mr. E and Zane start fighting at the edge of the cliff, but it seemed like it was mostly Zane getting beat up. I couldn't do anything anyways, I didn't know how to fight yet.

Zane was close to falling off the cliff.

Ugh! I feel so helpless but it's not like I can do anything! What should I do...

Oof. I thought as Mr. E throws a hard punch at Zane, sending him back.

 Zane uses his ice powers and starts freezing Mr. E.

"Who.."

Punch.

"Is.."

Punch.

"In.."

Punch.

"Charge?!"

Kick.

The ice around Mr. E starts cracking. Zane scoffs angrily as Mr. E breaks free, sending the ice everywhere.

"Who?" Zane keeps on asking, getting hit more by Zane. His body had sparks flying. "You don't have to do this!"

Mr. E kicks Zane off the cliff. Then Mr. E comes over to me.

After that, I only remember passing out.

🐲 Lloyd's POV 🥷

The ninja, Rumi, and I were searching for Zane and Y/N at night, a spotlight and the moon was our only light. I slide down the rope.

"Zane! Y/N!" I run to the fallen Zane and passed out Y/N. "Zane, Y/N, can you hear me?"

I put my hands on his chest.

"What did they do to them?" Nya looks at Zane.

"Say something, Zane!" Jay runs to us. "Can you hear us? Zane!"

I check on Y/N and see a big wound on her arm. "Oh no.." It seemed really bad because it was still bleeding. "Pixal. Lower the gurney. Zane and Y/N are in bad shape."

"Hang on, guys. Hang on."

Cole and Jay bring the gurneys while Nya and I carry Zane and Y/N onto the gurney.

Nya puts the hooks back on. "Okay. Winch them up, Pix!"

We all watch Y/N and Zane. Harumi was watching Y/N more though. It made sense, but she seemed really upset.

"How bad is it?" I ask.

Zane has extensive damage to all systems. His neural net and cognitive cores suffered severe failures. Y/N is unhurt except for her upper right arm. Pixal informs us.

"Can you save Zane?" Nya questions, looking at Zane.

I've diverted power to critical life functions. But Zane will have to do most of the work. He must reconfigure his system and reboot himself. Pixal answers.
