Hastily the rain tapped on Jimin's window, asking him to let them in. But he just sat in front of the glass, head leant against its cold surface. His lifeless eyes watched the raindrops racing each other to find shelter, but at the end, they all slid down and joined the failed ones on the ground.
Life of humans is just like that, isn't it?
The same dim light, same empty walls, same routine took place all over again. Jimin took his usual shower, but for a shorter while this time. It was raining already, he didn't want too much water in a day.
His hair still damp, he sat on the edge of the bed again, taking the adored box outside to hold it with so much love and care. He opened the velvet cover and dropped his gaze to his most significant possession, painful longingness flooding his hazel brown eyes.
'Where are you, Y/n? Where did you disappear? Why did you leave? When will I ever.. see you again..?'
Unanswered questions are indeed, as they said, the most hurtful ones.

"Park Jimin. Roll number 1164. Your assignment please," the teacher called out and Jimin stood up, sloppy steps walking down to her to submit his work. Just as his turn was over and he was about to walk away, the teacher called out, "Kim Naira. Roll number 1165. Your assignment please."
Jimin hesitantly raised his eyes and locked it with hers. She walked down and past him, sending him a small smile. The smile clutched at his heart, he hated making her feel the way he had been feeling all this while.
'I really hope you understand me, Naira. I just really love her, I won't be able to love you the same.'
────
Bell after bell rang, the cacophony of hushed voices getting louder with each ring. When the final one rang, students stormed out of the class, trying to leave faster than the other. They had reasons to leave quick. One would reunite with his family. One with her friends. Maybe one with their dog who's waiting for the owner to pet it.
But Jimin had nobody who'd be waiting for him to go back home.
Which is why he was seated, until all the students walked out. He then picked his backpack up and strolled out of the classroom, head hung low.
What he didn't notice was, Naira was sitting in the back of the classroom, waiting. Nonetheless, she smiled.
Walking down the almost bleak hallways, Jimin randomly kicked empty water bottles or soda cans that fell on his way. Almost all students left, making the school go all silent. In the silence, out of the blue, a laugh bloomed so loud.
Jimin froze.
His steps halted, his grip on the strap of his backpack loosening.
'That voice...'
Throwing far away his backpack and every other thought he had, Jimin turned around, his widened eyes looking for the owner of the laughter. He walked right into another narrower hallway, running around to find the source.
His heartbeat rushed to his ears, his breath turning heavy. Where, where was the owner of that laugh, he wanted to find out. And right as he was about to run to the next hallway, the corner of his eye caught a sight.
Jimin's feet stopped running, and his ears started filling with the same voice of before as he stood there. He turned to his left, finally taking her figure in sight.
'Elli...'
"Elli!" The name ripped out of his throat and he dashed to her, yanking her towards himself. "Elli! Finally! Where the fuck were you?! Where is Y/n?!" Jimin panicked, wide eyes searching for his answer desperately. Elli squinted her eyes, and she had to stare for a couple moments to figure out who was the stranger that grabbed her like that.
"Jimin..? Is that you?" She speculated, tilting her head. "Yes, I'm Jimin," he answered hurriedly. Seeing Elli after 2 aching years, the face of Elli seemed like the first Ray of sunlight after 2 years of darkness. He will finally know Y/n's whereabouts.
"Ohh, Jimin! How are you?" She chirped, taking him in for a warm hug. Jimin broke the hug immediately, taking her face in between his palms, "There's no time for that, Elli. Understand me. Where's Y/n??" Jimin's voice was now shaky and vulnerable, as though these were the last moments of life. These last moments would decide his next moments. He wanted Y/n, he needed Y/n.
"Y/n? Y-You don't know?" A grimace covered her forehead at his repeated question. Jimin's blood went cold at her response, his face turning pale in fear of anything happening to Y/n, "I-I don't know what..?"
Elli shook her head, moving herself a little away from his grip. "I'll show you," she said shortly, digging her hand into her back pocket to bring out her phone. Anticipation was dragging Jimin's soul away from him, he didn't know what she'd show. He couldn't wait.
"See," she handed him the phone and he snatched it quickly, eager eyes looking at what the screen shows.
Only to have his most eager expectations severely destroyed.
'No...'
'This is not true...'
'This can not be happening..'
