In midst of all the guests, with a glamorous rose gold gown, stood the most beautiful of all, who had all eyes to herself. Not her natural black hair, her styled auburn hair spilled down her shoulders like rich wine. Not in her small studs, in big, fancy earrings shone her earlobes. And lastly, not her chain of pearls, but a beautiful necklace of eyeblinding diamonds adorned her neck gracefully.
She looked like a moon in midst of all the darknesses.
Mark Y/n, in all her glory.
She roamed the place like a princess, slow steps on heels. She was the fanciest of them all, and all because of her millionaire husband.
"Y/n!" A yell of enormous joy resonated in the room, Y/n's head swinging to the side to let her gaze fall on the person. There was Elli, red gown complementing her beautiful curves. "Elli! Oh my god pretty lady, what the fuck happened to you!" She let out a laugh from the heart, her eyes warming at the sight of her best friend trying to act grown up.
"Oh shut up, I look beautiful," Elli protested curtly, waving her hand in disappointment to her bestie's mock. They hugged each other, their embrace feeling tighter than any other they've shared with anybody else. It's a bond of heart after all.
"How are you?" Emphasised Y/n, her chest filling up. "I'm good I'm good, you tell me," Elli broke the hug, looking fondly at her. "Oh Elli, don't ask. It's so boring, not the dramatic school days with all the tea spilling around," Y/n faked a pout, looking down in sadness. "Oh, school reminds me."
Elli grabbed her bag, taking out of it a maroon velvet box that instantly caught the eye of Y/n. "You bought me a gift? What happened to my Elli?" Y/n's expression turned rather skeptical. Elli laughed at this, shaking her head, "Nah, I would never be rich or free enough to do that. This is from Jimin. Park Jimin if you remember?"
Park.. J-Jimin?
Y/n's face darkened at the name mentioned. A strong wave of shock pulsated in her, her breath hitching for a long moment. Everything around her seemed to be slowly freezing into nothing, and the only thing that echoed in her head was his name.
Park Jimin.
So much hesitation, so much doubt lingered in her heart when she tried to open the box. She didn't know why after years of never knowing each other would Jimin send her something. They never met, never talked, never got to get close. So why now, when she got married?
Y/n's hands opened the box, and her eyes instantly widen up.
'No way..'
She stares at the content of the box with baffled orbs, her body tensing up quite immediately. Something inside her stirred feeling extremely upset, or, disappointed. She took hold of the pearls chain in her trembling hand, eyes brimming with hot tears.
Just as she was about to break down, a call rung in her phone, distracting her. She checked her phone only to have yet another wave of shock wash over her.
"Naira..?"
