Apart fell Jimin's world right in front of him while he stood their, helpless tears crawling up his burning eyes. Blinding rage mixed with the pent up sadness hit him at once, tearing his heart down. Raw pain gloomed in him, no part of his existence wanting to look at the screen anymore.
Jimin had been stuck in the same place all his life, leading himself to darkness in hope that Y/n would save him. She would protect him and drag him out to the brightest joys of life. But what she did was far from saving. She killed him.
'How, Y/n? How can you look happy? How can you look happy wearing a white gown beside another man.?'
"She's married. It's been 8 months now. And I'm going to her soon. I came here to bid farewell to my lovely university life," Elli smiled, completely oblivious to the intensity of the pain Jimin was suffering.
"Do you want me to tell her anything on behalf of you?" Genuinely Elli questioned, trying to comprehend the long silence from Jimin since he saw her best friend's wedding picture. Jimin couldn't speak anymore, his weak self shattering.
'Tell her what? That I love her? That I've been loving her ever since I laid my eyes on her? That I stand in front of her locker everyday to remind myself of her memories? That I'm only living with the support of her chain?'
'Her.. chain.'
"Wait here," Jimin gave Elli her cell phone and ran in the other direction, leaving her confused. His steps were still frantic, parts of him dreadfully wanting to break down in tears. He was tearing up already, an outbursting twinge suffocating him. He rushed to where his bag was laid, struggling to open it and rummage through it to find the box.
When it touched his skin, he felt a shiver run through his body, thinking about how it'll be the last time he holds it tore away his hope. He brought it out, his longing gaze falling on it so softly, so sadly, his heart extremely wounded.
He trailed back to Elli with heavy steps, every step crashing him down more and more. Elli was still waiting and when Jimin came into sight, she smiled at him. He returned the act gently, handing her the beautiful velvet.
"What's this?" Elli asked, eyeing the box curiously. "It's something. I want you to give it to Y/n, and tell her it's from Jimin," he smiled at her finally, looking at how she examined the locked box. She lifted her eyes and looked into his, "Okay! I'll get going now. Take care of yourself, Jimin. It was really nice meeting you after years," she leaned forward, wrapping her arms around his body.
Jimin didn't have enough will strength to alter his stance, so he just stayed their his hands barely wrapped around her lower back.
Elli bid farewell to everyone that afternoon and walked out, everyone getting back to their regular lives. It was only Jimin who felt like another huge hole was dug into him, another huge treasure stolen from him, another significant pet of his hunted from him.
Her chain, he doesn't have it anymore.
He doesn't have anything of her anymore.
How much more of a failure do you want to be?
"Fucking... shut up, please," he whispered.
