Set the Scene: School starts tomorrow and Johnny Lawrence is having an end of the summer party. Your friends insist you come along, even though you and the host have the biggest rivalry at West Valley High. Who knows, maybe this night could change that.

*warning* Some swear/mature words. Smutty teasing (very, very small) and little of-age drinking. Pretend they have normal phones. (Ali has not dated Johnny in this one, fyi. And she is nice, don't worry.) Long word count.

Summer has come and gone, leaving you to spend the last day of it relaxing in your room. You were laying on your bed reading a fashion magazine, quietly humming along to the music playing on the record.

Your mind wandered off into the thought of the first day of school tomorrow: what new friends you would make, what classes you would get, and especially whom you would still have a rivalry with. It wasn't uncommon for Johnny Lawrence to occupy a lot of your thoughts, but not in a good way. The blonde headed idiot has been your least favorite person for the last three years. Sharing a locker next to him and seated next to him in most of your classes made your skin crawl. If he didn't know karate well enough, you would take any chance you could get to kick his ass once and for all.

You rolled your eyes and went to turn the music up louder, hoping to stop thinking about the karate princess for the rest of the night. This was your last day of freedom and you weren't going to let anything stop that.

'Ring!'

"Who could be calling now?" You mumbled to yourself, not expecting a call this late at night.

Reaching over to your nightstand, you picked up the phone and went to turn the music back down. "Hello?"

"HEEYY! What are you doing right now?"

Ali Mills

You and Ali have been best friends for three years, ever since you transferred to West Valley High. Although she might come off as the rich, daddy's girl, she's the smartest and most honest person you have ever met.

"Um, nothing really. I'm just listening to music and relaxing." You responded, kind of glad you had someone to talk to right now.

You could hear muffled voices on the other end and cars in the background. "Barb, Susan and I are going to an end of the summer party before school tomorrow. We're picking you up right now, so get ready."

You whipped your head to look over at the clock.

"It's almost midnight! That's-" You started, before hearing Barbara's voice on the line.

"I promise, we'll only stay for a little bit. Ali isn't drinking, so she'll drive us back. Everyone will be there celebrating our last summer before senior year."

You sighed into the phone, looking around your room. You definitely could use some company and a drink. Your parents wouldn't mind either, both of them worked late or knew you were responsible enough to take care of yourself.

"Okay fine, I'll see you in a bit." You answered, ending the call before you heard the victory 'yays' from the three girls.

The ride to the party wasn't too far and by the time you could doze off, you heard music and people coming from up ahead. The neighborhood you were in looked slightly familiar but it was too dark to be sure of it.

"We're here!" Ali spoke excitedly, pulling in a couple of car lengths away from the house.

Barbara and Susan jumped out of the car, racing each other to the raging party.
