Bonnie was knocked out the entire car ride and woke up tied to a chair. All she could see was darkness, and all she could feel was the pounding in her head.
I'm going to kill Lyann, Bonnie thought to herself. How dare she? I'm a human being and this is illegal. That girl... that overconfident evil jerk!
"I'm going to kill her," She groaned out, coming to the realization there was a bag on her head blocking all the light in the room.
"Well, that's one way to wake up."
"Who the hell are you?"
"Zara."
"Okay, hello, I'm-"
"Bonnie. Yeah, I know."
Bonnie was a bit unnerved by that, had news of her kidnapping reached for where law enforcement looking for her? No, probably not. Lyann had the building burned so they most likely thought she was dead.
"Alright, is this the torture Jordan was talking about? I'm no use to anyone dead, and Lyann said that she wanted me alive, so that means you can't-"
"Shut up."
Ok, that was rude, Bonnie thought to herself. I'd like to see her keep calm when her life goes from nice and normal to threatened constantly. I don't need her judgement, I need my freedom and my life back.
"Who are your parents and overall family?"
"Why?"
Zara shot the wall near Bonnie's bag covered head, which caused her to shriek in fright.
"Do I need ask my question again?"
"No, no, goodness no. My father Adam Rowan is dead, my mother Vivian Rowan no longer wishes to have contact with me and my sisters don't know I exist.
"Why don't your sisters know about you and why does your mother not want to have contact with you?"
"Why do you need to know?" Zara shot the wall again, but this time the bullet passed through a loose part of the bag covering Bonnie's face, causing her to scream in horror.
"I'm not going to miss next time," Zara said coldly in a warning tone as if scolding a child.
"Okay! I'll tell you, no need to shoot me! P.S, don't shoot me. Remember, Lyann wants me alive," Zara huffed in indifference.
"It's not that big of a deal my mom's a homophobe, and when I told her I was pansexual she was less than pleased. She told me she wanted nothing to do with me and sent me away at fifteen to live with my grandma, who passed away three years ago. Not that it mattered to Mo-," Bonnie cleared her throat trying to rid herself of the bad habit of calling the woman who abandoned her "mother" when she was so undeserving of that title. "Vivian. She remarried and had my sisters."
"So, no chance of them coming after you?"
"None."
"Friends?"
"Just a few coworkers."
"Wow."
"Yeah..."
"You're fucking lame."
"Thank you, Zara, that's very kind," Bonnie said, sarcastically.
"You're welcome. I'm also very good at giving gifts. Once, I gave a guy who just as mouthy as you a bullet through the neck. I never once heard him complain, would you like a gift too? Now, I know it's not Christmas, but I'm sure we can make an exception."
"Thanks, but no thanks, I'm more of Hanukkah kind of girl so..."
"Oh, you've got jokes?"
"I guess so. I've always been told I was funny," Bonnie said cheekily, testing how far she could get with Zara.
Zara laughed humorlessly and then punched her hard in the stomach, making Bonnie lose all trace of the breath she was taking before and gasp and cough.
"You think this is a game?" Zara threw another punch. "This is a way of life," Bonnie was crying as another punch hit her gut. "People die if you can't be trusted, wars begin if you can't be trusted," Zara kicked her across the face, making the chair she was tied to fall to the ground.
Zarah looked down at weeping mess of a girl unapologetically for a moment, then picked her up and ripped the bag off her face, glaring at her.
"This is no time to be acting like a child. If you join us and your foolish attitude gets any of my friends killed, I will personally cut you into pieces. Do you understand?
