Lyann knocked on the guest door, "Bonnie?"

A nurse opened the door she was about to leave, but then bowed her head slightly as a sign of respect once seeing who was at the door.

"Miss, she's fine or at least she will be in a couple hours when her pain starts to fade. The pain medicine I gave her and some rest will have her good as new."

"That's great news. Thank you, Rossella."

Lyann smiled at the the nurse who was slightly older than her, she was always such a big help. And she was working towards becoming as great of Clinical Nurse Specialist as she is friend.

"No problem, if you would excuse me?"

"Oh, I'm sorry," Lyann said moving away from the doorway so Rossella could pass through.

"Bye.''

"It's fine. Bye, miss."

Lyann walked into the room and closed the door, she found Bonnie in bed eating a couple crackers and sat next to her and stroked her hair.

"Hello, Love," She said gently, feeling a bit guilty as for being the reason she was hurt so badly.

Bonnie looked up groggily at Lyann and then smiled at seeing a familiar face, then frowned as she remembered being tortured because of this woman.

"Don't 'Hello, Love,' me. I was just tortured because of you and your craziness and your stupid mafia," She huffed angrily. If she thinks she can just waltz right in here all nonchalant and I would just forget she's reason I was just tortured, she has a nasty surprise coming her way.

Lyann attempted to move Bonnie's hair away from her face in a comforting gesture, but got her hand smacked away from Bonnie, who didn't want to be touched by her when she cause of the traumatizing things that just happened to her.

"Listen, I'm sorry, but it was necessary," Bonnie scoffed at that, but Lyann continued, ignoring the sound. "It needs to be proven that you could be trusted and this was the only way in their eyes. I couldn't argue for you because... well, come on, we don't know each other well enough for me to be putting my neck on the line for you. But, I did pick out the nicest Capo to torture you, if that helps?"

"What is a Capo?" Really that's her excuse for me to be tortured for information. Is she even trying? Did she really say Zara was the nicest whatever she just said she was? Zara nice ha are you kidding me?! From what I've seen of her, she's not nice at all. I might've told her everything she wanted to know willingly, if she given me the chance. She was hot, I'm not blind, but what the actual fuck was her problem?

"Capo is short for Caporegime, which is the name for a captain in the mafia family. They are the head of a crime organization or "family", these families are what make up a mafia. The American Mafia consists of fifteen Capos and the boss, who is a Capo Crimini. Out of the fifteen Capos in total and the three currently at our disposal, Zara was the best and the kindest choice."

"Whatever, I can't think about that now. What happens tomorrow?" Bonnie was lost, all of this was happening way too fast, her life was ruined. She had to join a mafia just to survive, everyone she knows thinks she's dead and if the mobsters don't think she's good enough for them, she soon will be. To think just a week ago, she just happy that a new season of 'Doctor Who' came out on Netflix and now all of that is gone.

"You'll meet with the Capos here and we'll decide if you join or...well," Lyann pulled Bonnie's head onto her lap and stroked her hair

"I get taken out execution style."

"Hey!"

"Well, at least I hope it's execution style, I just want it to be quick and as painless as possible."

"Hey, don't talk like that," Lyann said as she stop playing with Bonnie's hair and set her head gently back down on the pillow Lyann had briefly replaced during their conversation. "You're going to be fine."

Bonnie sat up and winced. Pain had shot through her when she moved. She looked Lyann in the eye and saw a flash of guilt briefly pass and frowned in confusion.

"Why do you even care? I'm just some girl you kidnapped on a robbery, how did I even make it this far? You could've just kill me in the store," Bonnie had been wondering this for a while, but finally thought this was the time to ask. It was now or never.

"Hey! It was my first robbery, I panicked and kidnapped you, okay? Would you prefer that I had just killed you right then and there?" Lyann was in shock. You choose to save a girl instead of killing her and she questions your judgement! Unbelievable, you'd think she'd be more grateful. I don't need to explain myself! But..Why did I think of saving her instead of just killing her? She's right, it would of been easier but it didn't feel right. I can't think about this now.

Bonnie gave Lyann a pointed look. They both knew the answer to that question was an obvious no.

"Come on, Love. I couldn't kill you, remember we've got plans?"

Bonnie raised an eyebrow not remembering what Lyann was talking about. Lyann just smirked back at her, "Coffee? Don't tell me you forgot."

"Oh yeah," She shook her head as if the physical movement would reboot her mind. "Of course I didn't forget. I haven't agreed to that."

"You were about to," She said as she walked closer to Bonnie.

"But we'll never know that for sure since we got so rudely interrupted."

Lyann knelt next to the edge of the bed, put her arms on it and leaned closer to Bonnie's face. Bonnie was now setting chis-cross on the bed, trapped between Lyann and the wall her back was currently leaning on.

"Yeah, we did get interrupted but we're alone now," Bonnie could feel the other girl's breath on her lips and their eyes caught each other and then suddenly Bonnie wasn't thinking of escape routes, but if that lipstick actually tasted like cherry.

"What to do? What to do?" Bonnie's voice had lowered until it was barely a whisper and she looked down at Lyann's red, full lips.

"Oh, I'm sure we can find something to keep us occupied," There was barely any space between them and they stayed there for a moment waiting to see what the other would do. Lyann never the patient one thought to herself, Oh, fuck it. She leaned over, about to close the gap between them. Their lips had barely touched when someone had knocked at the door.

"Hey, it's Jordan. The Boss is callin' ya, Lyann. He said I had to come get you. He has to see you right now."

Lyann sighed. Seriously? I was this close!

"Gimme a second!"

Lyann tried to lean back in but Jordan's once again knocked and said, "Like hell I'm pissing the Boss off because of you. I mean, we're friends and all, but I'm not ready to die for your ass."

At the mention of death, Bonnie immediately stiffened.

"You should go," She whispered not ready for Lyann or anyone to die. Lyann's eyes showed a flash of hurt and then a cool mask took over.

"I'll be out in a second," She said pulling away from Bonnie, fighting all her instincts to stay and explore this. She looked at the other girl and whispered "We'll finish this later," and then left without saying another word.

When the door closed, Bonnie's hand slowly raised and touched her lips, not quite believing what just happened. Oh, fuck I'm starting to like her aren't I? This won't end well.
